OK for 1 night, otherwise not recommended. Mattresses totally worn out, room cleaning only on request. Evening buffet is poor canteen food with ready-made products. Breakfast and service staff mediocre. Swimming pool apparently closed for renovation. Sauna area has the feel of a dark cellar hole. The only thing that scored points was the location right next to the forest.

Last week we spent a night in the hotel, which was a bit old. It is not a feel-good hotel. OK for one nightThe buffet in the evening was simply too expensive at 25 euros per person and did not offer the usual selection. The breakfast buffet was a bit richer. No elevator, you have to drag your travel bag up and down the stairs yourself.

Went for hiking in Oberhof and booked an arrangement here.Service was very nice and very pleasant. Thanks to the young staff :)Food had canteen flair and could get more out of it with a few little tricks.Pasta and some side dishes were cold and not particularly well prepared. Breakfast on the other hand is good, unfortunately cold eggs :(As several reviews have already mentioned, the rooms are getting old. Bathroom is moldy and needs to be renovated urgently. There is mold on the vent, etc.Drying room was a hodgepodge of items that were broken or stored.Pool area was closed. Bowling alley was closed. It's a shame because the hotel had potential.

We were there as a large family. The staff seemed a bit overwhelmed.

Very good location right on the edge of the forest. The hotel is slightly old. The service and the staff are very friendly and accommodating. The friendly lady brought me coffee every morning, and the breakfast buffet was also very good. The day can only start well.I had a nice stay.

The hotel is definitely getting old and the rooms are in desperate need of renovation. The carpet in my room was covered in indefinable stains and exuded the charm of the 90s. In addition, the rooms are very noisy and I could now report on my neighbors' future plans. What was absolutely positive, however, was the friendliness of the staff and the great breakfast.

Booking indicated that we could check in until 8 p.m., but the lady behind the counter, who was clearly not having her day, wanted to close the reception at 6:45 p.m. The bathroom had black mold in the shower tray. The breakfast was very poor and absolutely not worth the money (you had to ask extra for a cappuccino)My son did not get the room he booked (a downgrade) and compensation was not possible.Avoid disappointment and book another hotel in the very beautiful Oberhof.

Location is great, the building is older and therefore the rooms including the bathrooms are functional, clean but a little cramped, the service is handled by a small number of staff, everyone is very friendly but it takes time, they can't share

Unfortunately the hotel or guesthouse is getting old. You can still see the 3 stars everywhere 🌟, but unfortunately it no longer has any stars. Okay, you also have to do a lot more. This starts with the staff and extends to the wellness area. The pool is new, but unfortunately closed, the sauna is only open on request. There is a bicycle cellar, but unfortunately anyone can take the key. The location is great, on the edge of the forest. You have peace and quiet and you can get to the forest quickly. Unfortunately, the rooms are still like they were in the 90s or earlier. There is mold in the shower. The door handles on the inside and outside of the room doors are missing. Breakfast is normal, but unfortunately it is not freshly replenished. Dinner is available for 25 euros, but then you'd rather go into town. You have to invest money and not rest on your laurels. It's a shame actually. But you have to say, we got vouchers for the thermal baths and also a small discount. And if you get it cheap, it's okay, but we weren't here in the winter season either.
