A great experience! The Brocken in the evening without crowds of tourists. We had a beautiful sunset and the sun shone again in the morning. However, there are compromises when it comes to dinner in the tower café and the breakfast service. The food is totally overpriced and bland. The lady was somehow sleepless and very unfriendly in the morning. We blended in with the breakfast crowd as inconspicuously as possible without complaining after another couple was scolded for arriving 3 minutes early. It's a shame, it's so beautiful up there and there's a great opportunity to take your suitcases up and down that this experience doesn't fit in with what was otherwise a perfect short vacation. You should rethink your personnel philosophy and not hire everyone. Even if the sign at the hotel entrance points out that guests are easier to find than staff.

An outstanding view welcomes you to the Brockenhotel. Great service, nice rooms and a very cozy restaurant on the 7th floor. Our luggage had been picked up in Schiercke, so we were able to hike up easily. Prices were very reasonable and the breakfast was very good and plentiful. We'll definitely be back!

We had booked a room with a dog, so it was difficult to reach someone, but eventually it worked. Now the fire was on the Brocken, so we tried to call to ask if the hotel was open. Since we couldn't reach anyone, we didn't leave because we assumed the hotel was closed. Now comes the bill for the overnight stay that was not shown up, and a query as to why the dog also has to be paid (final cleaning) remained unanswered. We are very disappointed and therefore only give one star

We stayed in the Brockenhotel on the 6th floor. Yes, the location was good. Nobody can do anything about the weather. The rooms could have more charm from the Brocken... just a picture of the Brocken doesn't make it romantic... especially since the restaurant opens at 6 p.m. and closes at 9 p.m.... in bad weather like we had - we said nobody can do anything about it - then it was time to go to bed! There was no minibar in the room either!! Too bad.The dinner was great. The greeting before taking over the room was more like a check-in... well, maybe they've already earned enough. The breakfast was a disaster... there was a breakfast buffet from 8:15 a.m. to 10 a.m.... we arrived at 9:15 a.m.!!!! it was completely looted... nothing was added...!! without words.! if you consider that the room with breakfast costs 199 euros.. luckily it was a gift from the family - I would have been even more annoyed if I had paid for it myself.. The room has to be vacated by 10.30 a.m.... that Train to Wernigerode - it was really bad weather - didn't leave until 11.31 a.m.... what are you doing for so long???? without words.! Even at checkout - where we complained about the breakfast - there was only one message -- "I can't imagine it at all---" Well, dear Brockenwirt and employees - think about your concept!!!! we won't be coming back!!!!!!

A special place. We arrived as hikers in thick fog and heavy storms. The reception on the 7th floor was robust but hearty and like a relief. Restaurant with the best food, great breakfast and the best view. The room in the building next door lacked nothing.

We stayed in the next building for one night because you can open the windows.Room and bathroom very clean. The TV is small and only offers a few channels but we were here for hiking.Breakfast was very good for us, I don't know how many dishes you want to choose and I don't understand some people's criticism, 3 types of rolls, bread, scrambled eggs, fried eggs, boiled eggs, fruit, yoghurt, muesli etc. You can hardly eat that much.Reception area very friendly. It's a shame that the tower doesn't have any opening windows.Oh yes, why is there no seating in the observation deck on the 8th floor, it's a shame you have to stand at sunset.

We spent New Year's Eve up at the Brocken Hotel - downstairs, parked the car in Schirke, hiked up - had a great dinner in the restaurant. Unfortunately, the visibility wasn't good - but hundreds of people came on foot or by bike to celebrate the New Year and toast the New Year with us - then went back to their warm rooms and enjoyed a wonderful breakfast buffet in the morning. Simply wonderful and highly recommended!!! :-)
