Great weekend and totally relaxing. We particularly liked the relaxed and large lounge area and the great kitchen. The view of nature is beautiful.As the other guests write: Great welcome from the lovely neighbors. They speak several languages, so our friends from France and the English area were able to communicate with them really well. Very cosmopolitan and friendly atmosphere.Gladly again.

Great accommodation, great location and great surroundings! Everything as described and shown in the pictures. There's nothing wrong with it. We spent a relaxing weekend here with a slightly larger group. 😊As soon as we arrived, we enjoyed a warm welcome from the neighborhood and in the following evenings we regularly experienced friendly encounters and extremely friendly exchanges! One or two nice chats with a strength of several hundred decibels created a calm and relaxed atmosphere. 🤗Gladly again at any time. 😊

What a weekend. It was a dream, a great house with a beautiful view. The equipment left nothing to be desired. Super!The neighbor who greeted us with open words from his balcony on the first morning was also really great. It's lucky that such people live there as neighbors! Understanding and eloquent like no other.Love goes out!Gladly again :)

Great accommodation with great facilities and nice rooms. We would come back at any time. The location is very idyllic, but the house is also great for party guests as the neighbors are extremely nice and understanding. They even offer parking on their property.

Mega location in a wonderful location with a breathtaking view! Great kitchen with fridge, great rooms, great seating and a great party room. Really perfect for any type of celebration! Good value for money.I would also like to particularly mention the great neighbors. They look a bit funny and at first glance seem to take a lot of getting used to. But... very lovely people who are absolutely understanding and helpful. Despite loud music until late at night, they brought us fresh rolls, eggs, milk and homemade honey in the morning. They carry the peace and serenity of the Black Forest in their souls. Hospitality is very important here!

Was also at a team event here. Self-sufficiency. The coffee and separate coffee kitchens are modernly equipped. However, the coffee machine lacks a necessary insert. The outdoor area offers a few additional options such as the small hot water pool. Overall, I found the house to be spacious and modern. Malus is definitely the quarrel with the neighbors across the street. However, that is also understandable. Who wants to live next to a leisure center where company events take place every week and Halligalli goes on until the night...

Weekend with friends, we rented this old hotel, great amenities (19 double rooms, with bathrooms and toilets) - the bedding was excellent, the common spaces immense, the kitchen and the crockery very well stocked (from the confession from a chef friend present with us).All this in an idyllic setting, with a beautiful view of the black forest!Highly recommended!

If you are looking for a privatised place either for business, entertainment or simply to have a place to sleep to visit the mountains and forests, this is the place to be.We booked Black to the Woods for 20 invitees and we were amazed by the quality, commodities, view and services provided by this place and the owner (who are very professional and warm).First and foremost, check-in was easy and flexible, rules and user-guides (spa, jacuzzi, kitchen,...) are very well documented.Parking spots are more than sufficient and if you need to deliver food, kitchen is immediately accessible with an exit door, so, from the car to a ~5m2 cold room.Staying with the kitchen, all is provided, ~100 glasses (wine, beer, tumbler, water, coffee), coffee machine, cutleries, 2 dish washers, oven, barbecue. You easily feel as comfortable as at home.Regarding the common spaces :- the dinning room can easily welcome the max number of persons.- the living room is amazingly spacious and the bar is wide and beautiful ; this is an invitation to chill !- the external spaces are well furnished and you can enjoy the view on the forest/mountain.- the working area is really professional with enough space, white board and video-projector.Also there are common toilets (on top of each room having its own).Regarding the private spaces, each room is 2-bed sized and each of the room have private bathroom with shower, sink and toilets, and a private balcony (if you are fast enough, take the room with view on the forest !).Also fresh bed sheets, towels and shower gel/shampoo are provided,Spa and jacuzzi are fully functional and wide enough for several people.Last but not least, the location, structure and isolation of the house offers you perfect privacy, sound isolation, i.e. you can hardly disturb or be disturbed by the neighborhood.I can only recommend this amazing spot, do not hesitate to book and I am already looking forward coming back.A warm thank you to the owners for welcoming us, wishing you good luck for the future of this incredible spot !

The villa itself is an absolute eye-catcher, but the conditions on site are also extremely worth seeing. The villa is in good condition, everything is very elegantly designed and kept open.The equipment on site is of high quality and appropriately chosen.The villa offers a lot of space so that you can find a quiet place even when there are a lot of people.The location is definitely recommended.

Very nice and modern house, can only be recommended! Everyone had their own bathroom and a place to retreat if things got too much for one person.Apart from a few signs on the neighbor's fence, you didn't notice anything else from the neighbors. Even if so, the landlord there was also very helpful!

It was absolutely worth the trip. We rented the villa as part of a company event. 19 rooms, each with their own bathroom, are pure luxury in themselves.The photos on the website correspond 100% to the location. Everything is in top condition and you feel absolutely comfortable.You learn to ignore the neighborhood from day 2 ;) you shouldn't let this put you off. However, we had no direct points of contact.We would highly recommend the accommodation to everyone and will definitely come back again.

My visit was as part of a company training course for 1 night with self-catering.The house was renovated not long ago, but on a low budget and DIY level. Decorative elements throughout the house are roof battens, which are fastened with various screws at irregular heights. If the deeper purpose was to improve the acoustics, unfortunately this was not successful. The acoustics are particularly bad in the conference room. Furthermore - contrary to what was stated on the homepage - there was no flipchart. The kitchen equipment and the decoration of the house are predominantly from IKEA. The bad lighting in the rooms is noticeable, a colleague didn't have a mirror in the bathroom, I had to let the water run for several minutes until it got warm (room 10), others complained about knocking noises from the heating. The beds were very comfortable and clean. I don't want to complain about the fact that the headboard was mounted upside down and the deer was upside down.We didn't use the spa area, just the hot tub. There were no complaints here, but in my opinion it is not wood-fired, as it says on the homepage.All in all, it's a cool location, but the quality of the equipment doesn't justify the rather high price.Differences with your immediate neighbors cannot be overlooked and give you an uneasy feeling.

Perfect place for a get-away weekend. Room is very clean with nice view over the forest. Staffs are friendly and helpful. Location is great with nearby local restaurants, hiking trail.
