First of all, the positive experience:The toilets were clean, the staff were very polite and nice and the atmosphere was beautiful. The appetizers and drinks tasted great.Now unfortunately the negative and the reason why I only give two stars:The three of us had dinner at the Steinhaus as we were looking for a good vegan restaurant nearby. Unfortunately I can't understand the positive reviews. As a starter I had the stuffed peppers for €8.90. What I got for the price was a mini pepper. You can imagine it like a five-pack of pointed peppers from Rewe (the smallest of them). The main course was Tonkatsu oyster mushrooms on skewers with three spring rolls and cabbage salad. Unfortunately the food was completely unseasoned. It really tasted like overwatered vegetables, just tasteless. My friend had the mushroom ragout and her sister had the bolognese. The pasta in the Bolognese was undercooked and also unseasoned. The ragout was surprisingly only partially seasoned: the red cabbage was oversalted and the rest, unfortunately, like the dishes above, tasteless. However, the starter with the sourdough bread was super tasty. Unfortunately, the prices for the food are absolutely unjustified and far too exaggerated. I have eaten vegan very often, much better and cheaper. We left €96 for three people, including drinks. For less money, the four of us ate at a very good Asian vegan in Frankfurt, which also had a beautiful location.Conclusion:Unfortunately we were very disappointed. If I can give you a tip: please put salt and pepper at the tables so that you can season yourself according to your taste. Unfortunately that was nothing.

The four of us ate at the Steinhaus and were given a very warm welcome. The atmosphere was warm and inviting and you immediately felt at home. The food (and I say this as a non-vegan) was really delicious. Nothing was “missed” and I felt completely picked up from a culinary point of view. At the end there was a very good hazelnut schnapps on the house. We would love to come back!

We were there for Sunday brunch with a large group.You are greeted in a friendly manner. The service is quick and attentive.Regarding the brunch for €26.50, I have to say that there wasn't enough choice of bread and rolls for me. The buffet was very small. The dishes were good, but not particularly excitingly seasoned. For example, the vegan Mett had no taste and the hummus had hardly any salt, lemon or cumin.I really liked the Bircher muesli and the smoothies.I think a vegan brunch is great, but this one can be expanded.

We stayed there overnight and had dinner there last week. The rooms are very nice and modern, although they are a bit noisy, but that is probably due to the half-timbering. The service was very good and the food really tasted great. We would love to come back.

Everything is just right here! The food is incredibly good and is cooked to a very high standard. The wine selection was very good. The service is top class. The outstanding quality of the food justifies the high price. I felt very comfortable and would like to come back.

We had booked some rooms in the Steinhaus 1718 because we celebrated our wedding nearby.We were all so happy with everything! The service was absolutely top. Such incredibly lovely people who work there, super helpful and friendly! The rooms were really great and clean. The breakfast was super delicious and also vegan.The parking situation wasn't super easy but we all found a parking spot. And of course you have to expect that in the old town.We had a great time and can highly recommend the hotel.

The Steinhaus is really my favorite vegan restaurant so far. All dishes are designed with attention to detail and so far everything I've tried there has been incredibly delicious. In addition, the service is always very good and everyone is incredibly friendly. I also think the prices are very reasonable, as all the dishes are special in their own way.The fact that everything there is 100% vegan was a big plus for me, but non-vegans were also very impressed here.The cauliflower wings are definitely always a highlight, but the banana bread was also incredibly tasty.The restaurant is also very easy to reach, as you can easily park in a parking lot a 2-minute walk away.All in all, I can really recommend the restaurant and it is definitely worth a visit!
