The Schachen Bad & Spa is a very special place and creates a feeling of peace and relaxation right from the first contact with the reception. The appointment with Silvana was very good and the farewell with Matthias was also very accommodating. David's treatments are simply outstanding, my back has never been so relaxed. I only know this high standard from previous sessions with Tobias and it is unparalleled elsewhere. I can fully recommend the Schachen Bad & SPA.

We booked the day spa package as a couple. The treatment itself (approx. 2 hours) was wonderful, as was the spa area. The service was extremely disappointing.We weren't properly greeted, my partner waited 1 hour for the bathrobe etc and an explanation of how everything works. Then the gentleman in charge insisted that we had to pay extra to use the spa - which his colleague corrected (after another 20 minutes of waiting).We then wanted to redeem the voucher for the salad plate in the restaurant. After 45 minutes of waiting, we canceled the order and left the hotel... The service staff should keep an eye on who ordered what and is still waiting.If it wasn't for the good treatment, the whole day would have been a disaster. Shame about the money. 😔

My experience with this hotel was only ok. Reception people are friendly and usefull, same as the cleaners. The area which doesn't work is the restaurant! I was expecting better professionals running a prestigious and expensive hotel. Waiters only speak German, their are very slow and they don't care much about your experience in the hotel. They never are in the restaurant floor. My wife and I had lunch at the restaurant one day and it was not busy at all..just a few tables, of which only 3 were occupied because a 4th one left after waitong for 25mins for the waiter to come and get the order. We were lucky, we only had to wait for 30mins to order the drinks and the food. All good I suppose to that point. We had to wait for more than 1 hour to get a club sandwich, a Gazpacho and a pasta dish. Definitely it was not worthy the waiting! the food was really average. the gazpacho was simply not gazpacho, and the pasta was not pasta! the chef perhaps is trying to get a bit exotic offering Spanish and Italian cuisine but he has no clue about what a gazpacho is! Another fact what shocked me was that I asked the waiter for a spoon for the cold tomatoes soup I ordered. he said ya ya. I'm still waiting for it. I had to taste the gazpacho with a fork. :(Another night we were tuned out at the restaurant because we were too late for the kitchen... it was 7:30pm!!!!!!!! Unbelievable!!!So far the worst service I have EVER experienced in my life.. not even in a hostel!

Absolutely disappointing...It must be said that we are not laypeople.This house rests with a view of Lake Constance. It's uninviting and dusty.The two in the spa were nice, but communication with the lady was very difficult. She speaks almost zero German. The full massage was more than unprofessional.I know what I'm talking about.The other guests also said that the sauna was much too hot. The spa manager said that couldn't be the case. But it can, maybe the thermometer is defective or something.After working hard and having children free, it was an expensive disappointment.We're happy to pay for quality and we're happy to tip.Never again, I'm shocked!This house advertises the spa. Awkward!!!

I was in the spa area with my girlfriend to spend a nice day with a few wellness treatments. Unfortunately nothing came of it because the treatments were really bad. Absolutely overpriced for zero performance. I have never received such a bad full massage anywhere.The director wanted to take care of the matter and get back to me reliably, but that never happened.Absolutely unprofessional.

Such a beautiful, sleepy place, like a journey back in time to the last century. Be sure to explore the interior on the ground floor. Definitely great to celebrate a wedding or something similar there. But definitely enjoy the Lake Constance panorama with a refreshment on the terrace or dock the boat straight away.

We really liked it. We were also lucky enough to have the entire sauna area to ourselves from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. The relaxation area has water beds.

We went here for high tea. Fantastic ambience, nice service, great high tea as you know it from London. Very beautifully landscaped park with a wonderful view of Lake Constance. Absolutely recommended!

Lots of potential..Just take of some hidden costs..Parking and small upgrades.Great river View.Nice Hotel, but take care if you need internet in the room..Very nice staff..

I was looking for a hotel close to where I live. An important criterion for my stay is a quiet room. I spent one night in an expensive room. There were very faint fibration noises in the walls that I couldn't stop even with earplugs.I was offered a different room the next day, but I wasn't sure whether there wouldn't be similar problems with vibrations the next night, so I decided to leave in order to avoid further trouble with this hotel.The money for the remaining night was not refunded to me because they were of the opinion that I had been offered another room. But no one wanted to know anything about the stolen night.I cannot recommend the hotel. Complaint management is completely unacceptable.
