As a group of 6 on the Saale cycle path, we stayed in the “Schiene” for one night and felt really comfortable from start to finish. The restaurant is uniquely furnished, the employees are attentive and quick and don't mince words. Had a lot of fun. Dinner very good, breakfast perfect!

Unique railway ambience with delicious foodThis restaurant is really something special! The entire restaurant is designed like a train compartment, which creates an unusual and cozy atmosphere. Everywhere you can find loving details related to the theme of railways, which clearly sets the restaurant apart from others. The food is also excellent – the schnitzel and fries are particularly recommended. The portions are generous and the taste is convincing. If you want to enjoy a good meal in a unique environment, this is the place for you!

We were there as pilgrims for one night. We felt very comfortable and were warmly welcomed. Breakfast was fantastic... We requested a vegetarian/vegan breakfast and were absolutely thrilled. You can tell everywhere that everything is done with heart and passion. Thanks so much......

We were there as a group of four adults and two children and everything went wonderfully. The apartment was clean, large and well furnished. Dinner in the restaurant was very tasty and sufficient. The breakfast was very tasty and varied. Thank you for the lovely stay 😁

We were there as a large group and were slightly louder than the usual guest. Nevertheless, we were treated more than kindly (the tattooed waitress was particularly cool) and were allowed to do our group program (playing the guitar and singing, playing games, etc.). The waiters all joined in fun, which made the evenings even nicer :))

We were welcomed here with arms wide open and felt very comfortable. The service was exceptional and the mood of the waiter and waitress (Claudia for example) helped us maintain a very relaxed mood. I definitely recommend this place.

We had dinner here with several friends. Reservations are mandatory on weekends. We made a mistake in the date and accidentally reserved it for Sunday. But still found something for Saturday. Thank you very much. Finding something for 9 people would have been really challenging. The atmosphere is really quaint and original. We sat outside, which was pleasant given the temperatures. The drinks came quickly and we had time to choose food. The menu is not overly extensive, but covers almost all tastes so that everyone can find something. We once had beets from the menu at the table. The portions are generous and the food is hot. The only point of criticism is that the preparation is somewhat low in salt, but seasoning is always possible. It was a pleasant evening and we felt very comfortable.

We went to the Zur Schiene restaurant today and really enjoyed the evening. The landlady and innkeeper are very friendly and accommodating, the food is great and very plentiful! We'd love to come back! Thank you very much, a thoroughly successful evening!
