My husband and I were at the restaurant as part of a cooking seminar. Warm welcome with sparkling wine, recipe and cooking apron. Very informative and entertaining course with lots of practical tips. Afterwards we were able to enjoy everything together and talk shop with the Schreiber family. Thank you for the great day

We were in the fine dining restaurant. The Goldener Hahn shines with warm hosts and excellent dishes. We let ourselves be pampered for the third time. And every time it is a feast for the palate, the dishes with aromas that are hard to describe, the corresponding wines, everything is perfect! We also accept the long journey!Thank you very much and please keep it up 👍🏻

A traditional inn in Lower Lusatia with exceptional, modern cuisine.The PERI cycling team with 30 cyclists had dinner here on their 2024 tour. The reservation and clarification of details was very easy and smooth.We immediately felt at home in the beautifully decorated side room with a great atmosphere and were among ourselves.The pre-ordered 3-course buffet was a culinary delight and satisfied even the hungriest cyclist. A really big compliment to the kitchen!The very nice owner couple and the extremely friendly staff made our stay very pleasant with a lot of commitment and passion, so that we felt completely at home. The slogan on the website “Hosting with passion” sums it up. Here you can switch off and let yourself be pampered!You can also get a first good impression of the house through the great website.Please keep it up!!ElCapitano from the PERI cycling team

This evening I was a guest at the Goldener Hahn with my wife for the first time and what can I say, it was simply world class. Had the 3 course surprise menu and the main course was so delicious that we ate the same thing again. From the greeting from the kitchen to the Dessert was simply a treat for the palate. The friendly and friendly service made the evening a perfect experience for us. Thanks for the great food and the great service, we'll definitely come back more often now☺️glg

We were in the fine dining restaurant. Starting with the friendly welcome, it was an extremely pleasant evening. The menu, we chose the “Menu Vitale”, was exceptionally tasty and characterized by a variety of tastes. There was also explanatory support from the service. There were also small “greetings from the kitchen” that complemented the palette and added further flavor nuances. We recommend a visit to the Schreiber family without reservation and will definitely go there again

Very good food and the best service. The food and menus are wonderful and really outstanding. The ingredients seem to be of very high quality and the taste is a real experience. Service is really good and attentive and the entire interior is very tasteful. The price-performance ratio is reasonable. Fine dining and class has its price. It is surprising that such a treasure even exists in this region. There is actually a vegetarian version and the wine selection is also very extensive.Very good good food and best service. I can only rate the fine dining restaurant, which is located in the back of the dining room. Reservations are recommended, although most guests dine between 6 and 8 p.m. and the restaurant stays open later.The location is quite central in Finsterwalde but still quiet on a side street.We celebrated our anniversary here and chose this place based on the reviews and photos of the food. It was clear to us that appropriate prices also belong here.Accordingly, we were first surprised and then happy that we were not greeted by a classic fine-dining interior. The layout, decoration and lighting didn't really match the photos of the food. But more rustic and just like an inn.We didn't have much time to deal with this impression because we were quickly greeted by the service and shown to our seat. The table was prepared especially romantically for us because I mentioned the anniversary in the comment in the online reservation. That was worth an extra star. Cheers!The nice lady from the service was very friendly and attentive and matched the ambience of the inn.The menu and the wine list were the reason for our visit and both fell outside the scope of the inn. Connoisseurs are offered very high art and quality that are really worth the prices. We each chose a four-course menu and were able to combine all of the menus. The tomato essence, the shrimp, the saddle of venison and the apple variations are particularly memorable. First-class enjoyment. With the portions and an Amusé Geule and a small intermediate course, we were really full.We also had a wine accompaniment, one red and one white. For each course there was a 1/8l carafe of excellently tempered wine, which went very well with every dish and a little story was told.Our evening was very nice and we can only recommend this kitchen.

The location is certainly not the most outstanding, but the food and the attentiveness of the service more than make up for it. I can't rate the hotel because we only went out to eat. First of all, I have to mention that it is not the cheapest restaurant. The chef knows his craft. The food was not only special but also a fantastic combination of flavors and perfectly cooked ingredients. The menu is very clear. But if you like something extravagant and upscale cuisine, this is the place for you. We had fish and goose carpaccio as a starter. I'm actually not a fan of rump steak, but the chef cooked this meat so tenderly and to perfection (once medium-rare or -well) that there was nothing to complain about. At the end there was something sophisticated made from pears or apples. In between, little things like ice cream, quark, venison and goose fat were also served. The chef may forgive me for the simplicity of the presentation. ...and now to the operation. The lady was very accommodating, friendly and helpful. I could see that she maintained her pleasant demeanor at every table. Although we live in this area, we unfortunately didn't know the restaurant. This is really a shame. This restaurant is a recommendation for anyone who likes special cuisine and wants to spend a little more money. The rooms were modern, very clean, tastefully decorated and we had a nice space. There are 2 or 3 tables, which are also suitable for a romantic evening. Certainly these must be reserved. We would like to thank you for the lovely evening and hope that other guests feel the same way and can enjoy it.

A secret treasure restaurant in a little remote place but well worth the drive! We had a really delicious 4 course New Year‘s Eve menu and the wine selection also features many interesting German regions, not just the regular Mediterranean ones. Despite the almost booked out evening, the service was pleasant and we liked the calm atmosphere.My only tipp would be that the staff by the tables should know the names and producers of all food ingredients being served. These can be common guest inquiries at other fine dining places.
