Great and quiet location very close to the monastery. Restaurant Klosterschänke right next door. The Klosterschänke is always open. Visiting the monastery is highly recommended. Hiking options nearby. I can also recommend the llama farm nearby. I just think the overnight stay in the hotel is too expensive.

Actually a great hotel, with a super generous breakfast buffet and very nice staff👍🏻. What bothered us was the awkward positioning of the TV😟. If it had been mounted on the wall and not placed on a pedestal at bed height, it would have been 100 points+. Otherwise everything was very clean and well organized👍🏻.

A highlight in the Rheingau, the rooms are very spacious and leave little to be desired. The staff is very friendly and both the breakfast for hotel guests and in the monastery tavern are very good.

An impressive place with exceptional rooms.Sitting under the trees in wonderful weather, eating well, drinking a glass of wine, experiencing the friendly and attentive staff or simply exploring the area around the monastery offers so much beauty that it is worth visiting again. to deepen the collected impressions.

Mega hotel, would love to come back. Nice and quiet and clean, dogs are welcome, but they cost an extra charge, which I wasn't told when booking, but only when checking out, actually no problem, but since I registered the dog when making the reservation and asked if it was allowed, It would have been nice to have an indication of the height.

The Hotel am Kloster Eberbach has some positive aspects that are worth mentioning. The location near the Eberbach Monastery is picturesque and offers a relaxing atmosphere. The staff was friendly and helpful.However, there are also some points of criticism. Unfortunately, the rooms were not cleaned properly, which caused inconvenience. In addition, the window was left open, which led to moths getting into the room. The lights were also left on, which not only increased energy costs but also attracted insects.Overall I would give the Hotel am Kloster Eberbach 3 stars, mainly due to the cleanliness issues and the moths in the room. There is room for improvement in these areas.

We stayed in a small, standard double on the first floor with windows facing the yard. The room was spartan, as it should be in an abbey, but clean and functional. The bathroom was surprisingly large. Being pet friendly adds a separate star, just for that. Breakfast was very enjoyable in a beautiful dining room/hall. Everything is very serene and quiet since the abbey is at road's end and there's practically no traffic inside. I would most definitely stay there again and I probably will.

A very nice hotel and associated restaurant. Restaurant, however, very slow and not always in control of the situation! Ordering and delivery took a very long time! Wine was not well chilled! The impression at the restaurant was that it was more populated by day-trippers!There is also room for improvement at the breakfast buffet: 1.) Bowls for jam or waffle dough. Maybe for the pigs if not used by the guest. 2.) Waste container for garbage 3.) Salt and pepper shakers instead of old paper bags 4.) Sharp bread knife for rolls 5.) Bacon for scrambled eggs would also be nice. 6.) If you're staying overnight at a winery, champagne for breakfast would be appropriate!!! 7.) Breakfast should have a little more variety (e.g. salmon, meat salad, fish and sometimes other types of cheese and sausage). Still a nice stay and thanks for the champagne for the 30th wedding anniversary!!! Very happy again!!! 👋🏻👋🏻🙋🏻♀️🙋🏼♂️

The 1984 book “The Name of the Rose” by Umberto Eco starring Sean Connery was filmed here. The outdoor area, including the monastery garden, can be viewed free of charge. To see the cloister and the other buildings you have to pay an entrance fee of €14. With the ticket you can also see the temporary exhibition “Vertrickst!” (from September 14th, 2022 to September 3rd, 2023). This "spectacular" illusion exhibition is more for children. Some exhibits are too small or narrow for adults.
