It’s a nice hotel. The rooms are spacious, clean, and nicely designed. I didn’t have breakfast, as there are a couple of decent bakeries, supermarkets, and a very good coffee place nearby.But: the hotel brands itself as a Velotel, and I think that’s a bit of a misnomer. While the hotel may be bike-friendly, it’s not particularly bike-minded. I arrived with a full bikepacking setup after a long/hot 200k day on the bike, and the staff didn’t seem to care much, other than saying, “You can store your bike on the third floor.” The same thing happened the next morning. That’s all okay, but for a ‘Velotel,’ I would’ve expected a little more genuine interest.

We spent one night here for my bachelorette party. The staff is friendly, the breakfast selection is very large with many vegan alternatives and the location by the lake is really nice. The toilet with sliding glass door doesn't offer much privacy but the rooms are very modern. One thing that really annoys me is that I spent 5 days on the phone with different employees trying to find my bridal dressing gown. I left it hanging in the closet in the rush before checking out (I'm 100% sure of that and my girlfriend can confirm it). According to the staff, he hasn't been found... so it's better to check everything three times before you leave, otherwise the staff will be happy 🙈

We spent a long weekend at the Velotel. The room (suite) was very nicely decorated and had enough space. We really liked the equipment in the bathroom and in the hotel with Rituals products. A special charm of the hotel is the small cinema with 2 screens. There are plenty of snacks and nibbles at reception. The breakfast buffet was great and completely sufficient. Thank you for the nice service.The hotel is within walking distance of 8 to 10 minutes from Scharmützelsee including a swimming area with a sandy beach. From a culinary point of view, we recommend the steakhouse Maatouk or the beautiful café "le Gáteau rose" nearby (2 minutes). All in all, the hotel in Bad Saarow is in a wonderful area. We would love to come back.

Short vacation with a wheelchairWe spent our short vacation in this modern and centrally located hotel.We received a room suitable for disabled people. This room was very bright, spacious and well thought out. All light switches and doorknobs were lower. The bathroom was also quite spacious. The sink was at wheelchair height. The toilet is elevated and has grab bars. The shower is at ground level.There is a tablet in the room. You can find out everything you need to know about the hotel, the service, excursion destinations, regional...The hotel is easy to get around in a wheelchair.The staff is very friendly, present and helpful.The breakfast was varied and delicious. There was a calm and pleasant atmosphere. When the weather is nice you can also enjoy your coffee outside.We felt very comfortable and can only recommend this hotel.

My wife, my dog Torvi and I spent a wonderful weekend at the Velotel at the beginning of June 2024!Very nice staff at the reception, very attentive and nice staff at breakfast. The breakfast was small, but lots of different things and very tasty. The rooms very clean and spacious. The hotel is close to the lake! The lake can be reached in 3 minutes on foot. We were able to use the parking space directly at the hotel and it was free of charge! I can only recommend the Velotel!With best regards Christian from Termin-Transporte

Pretty little hotel not far from the lake, with friendly staff and clean, modern rooms. We were able to easily change rooms in the same category upon arrival because we didn't like the barrier-free room, even though it was very spacious. Some parking spaces are available in front of the hotel for a deposit. The breakfast was rich and fresh. The lake can be reached on foot in 5-10 minutes. There are also some really good restaurants and cafes within walking distance of just a few minutes! The thermal baths can be reached just as quickly.We also really liked the integrated cinema, which you can also visit as a non-hotel guest. My tech-savvy husband was thrilled with the tablet, which you could use to order special requests from the hotel service as well as book cinema tickets.The room was clean and modernly furnished; Only the glass doors in front of the bathroom and toilet take some getting used to, as you could leave the doors open because of the noise. 😉 The bed was very comfortable and the courtyard was super quiet. No loud noises to keep you from sleeping. We were happy about the little attention from the hotel (ritual shower bath and pillow scent) as well as the free water. We felt very comfortable and will definitely come back!

Unique hotel with excellent staff. Not only did we receive a warm and super friendly welcome, but in the evening all of our requests were met. The room was clean and spacious, the breakfast wasn't overwhelming, but there was a great selection, even vegan sausage, cheese and natural yoghurt. The scrambled eggs were particularly delicious.Furthermore, the cinema in the same building was unique!!We will definitely be back and would like to once again put the staff first and thank them very much!

Oh, the Velotel is a well maintained hotel, elegant and no frills. Tasteful decor and located in a very great location. We were greeted very friendly at the reception. Unfortunately, there were two drawbacks that bothered me. For one thing, the fan in the bathroom was running the whole time. And audible. That kept me from sleeping a bit, so it's not for people who are sensitive to noise. And the number on the smoke detector could have been removed. When you wake up you look at a big red number on the ceiling of your room. Small detail, but it doesn't quite fit into the stylish room aesthetic. Maybe just stick the number on the detector or write it down somewhere else? Otherwise I can highly recommend the hotel.

The hotel makes a good impression from the outside and the interior. The room was modernly furnished. What bothered us was the toilet with the sliding glass door to the shower and the cleanliness. It was very dusty and during the night we both had coughs, probably from the ventilation system. After we were outside it went away again after 30 minutes. The reception was very friendly and a parking space right in front of the door was available for an additional charge.

Excellent, modern, functional boutique hotel in a central yet quiet location in Bad Saarow! Many loving details make your stay comfortable and pleasant. Smart and digital you get good information about the surroundings. Beds and showers made for a little spa moment! The rooms are stylishly furnished (we had a suite with a terrace), and the integrated pantry kitchen left nothing to be desired. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Breakfast times between 8 a.m. and 11 a.m., very vacationer-friendly. With the rich breakfast we were able to start the day well strengthened. Everything bike guests need has been thought of and they can take their bike with them to the hotel... just a Velotel! There are also 2 cinemas in the house, trendy and comfortable with popcorn and everything your heart desires.There's nothing to complain about because it's also good value for money! It should definitely be mentioned that you can find everything within walking distance, restaurants, ice cream parlors, supermarkets, bakeries, thermal baths and fitness studio and in 6 minutes you can be at the lake! The area is beautiful, but unfortunately the places in the area are still a bit like in the GDR. The cultural program doesn't start until July, too late. The hotel is modern and digital. The staff is very nice, including the owners. I would like to highlight Chantal, who takes great care of everything. Unfortunately, there were also some things that weren't so good, such as: E.g. breakfast with baked rolls and food kept warm, which was then only lukewarm or leathery like bacon. The breakfast room is not connected to the main house, which is bad when it rains. It's almost impossible to get around the buffet in a wheelchair. The wheelchair room has many shelves. that's great. Unfortunately there is an open shower in the bathroom where you put everything under water and no shelf at the sink. It is also quite narrow for a wheelchair user. However, the price is quite good. Unfortunately, only children's and youth films were shown in the cinema. That was a shame.
