Went by looking for lunch and saw the sign for a cafe and restaurant. We were impressed by the friendliness and spontaneity. Despite the lunch break/rest, the nice gentleman in the kitchen spontaneously made us some pancakes and goulash soup. It tasted excellent.Overall, the Buglhof is very stylish and well maintained. Absolutely recommended.

Very idyllic location that invites you to hike and relax. Beautiful playground for the little ones in the center of St. Englmar and of course the toboggan run with amusement park. Opulent breakfast that really left nothing to be desired. Mr. Bugl and his team were always approachable and very hospitable. Went here twice and the kids really enjoyed it. View from the balcony was very nice.

The rooms may not be entirely modern for the price, but that's not a problem for 2 hikers in transit! The location is very nice and above all very quiet, we slept wonderfully! We suspect that Mr. Bugl prefers to be in the kitchen because he cooks with a lot of love and even simple dishes taste really good! And are very inexpensive!! But it can also be sophisticated and modern, I was really excited about the Keimling ice cream sundae - definitely try it! 👍 He also does the reception and service in the afternoon, and is always friendly and helpful. Hats off!

Very quiet area, and centrally you can reach excursion options in half an hour. Very friendly boss and employees. Breakfast buffet was good and plentiful. There were homemade cakes and you could choose from 3 dishes for dinner. Rooms were large and clean because they cleaned every day. Except the floral wallpaper didn't match, otherwise the room and bathroom were modernly furnished. I would be very happy to come back.

For us it was a very nice holiday in St-Englmar.Hans Bugl has a very friendly manner. He is approachable at all times, always obliging and approachable to his guests. The food was very good and you could never leave the table hungry, so there was more than enough on your plate. Always three courses in the evening. Be sure to try the Kaiserschmarren! The rooms are typically Bavarian, as expected. Our room was always clean. The large balconies are a nice thing, especially in the summer evenings. We enjoyed using the play barn to play a little table tennis or billiards in the evening. The barn is a good thing for small children on rainy days.In the area you should try the hiking trail at the waterfalls, the amusement park in St. Englmar, the treetop path and the 4D archery with black light. But there is much more.

The room was halfway ok, but I didn't have a place to put my suitcase. At first glance, the room seemed clean, but in the bedside drawer there was, among other things, a receipt and a parking ticket from the previous tenant, which could have been found during a thorough cleaning. The floor was made of a less attractive and older PVC. The bathroom was very small, the towels were old and quite thin and apart from two almost empty rolls there was no toilet paper left. The dinner was manageable. The soup was good. The roast beef consisted of two extremely thin slices of meat with a very thin sauce that tasted good. The dumplings, whereby the grater dumpling was a dumpling half and half, you could see that they were ready-made dumplings and a spoonful of red cabbage was definitely not enough. The salad was served at the buffet in such small bowls that you almost didn't dare take some so that others could get something too. If you took maybe €18 instead of €16 and made the portions bigger, you would certainly be full. The breakfast was good. Getting freshly made scrambled and fried eggs was great, but I did miss some cream cheese. The location of the hotel is quiet and beautiful and the leisure activities on offer, especially for children, are also impressive. The owner and his mother were very nice.
