We were guests of the campsite in October in a bungalow, too bad they had forgotten the reservation and we had to wait 3 hours because it wasn't ready.

Absolutely not recommended!!!We rented a luxury barrel with a private bathroom. Left early! Barrel was totally dirty, dust and cobwebs everywhere. Some mold on the floor and in the corners. You had to make your own beds. Curtains torn, fly screens hanging in tatters. The barrels are close together...Private bathroom moldy and bad smell from drain. The place is pitch black. No path lighting! The entire place is completely neglected. No contact person on site.Price absolutely not justified!!!!

This was the second time we were there for an overnight stay. The place itself is great in terms of location. By bike you can reach the center of Beilngries in just a few minutes. The sanitary facilities are reasonably clean and sufficiently large. The size of the parking spaces is more than enough for us, but we only travel with a van. What we didn't like at all, however, is that there is no contact person on site, only registration via "Rosi" on the computer. The other negative point is that around 60-70% of the area is now filled with sleeping barrels, small houses and private bathrooms. You no longer have the feeling of a campsite but more of a container village. To put it bluntly: a sleeping barrel brings more money than a parking space!Another point is the type of cost statement for a parking space. A flat rate electricity fee of €5 is listed in the cost statement. However, you cannot opt out of this flat rate if you do not need electricity. Why should I pay €5 if I don't use it at all? Conclusion: When we were there for the first time in 2018, it was still a beautiful place in the countryside right by the river. Now (Sept. 2024) it is full of barrels, houses, etc. and (as in 2018) there is no contact person on site.We will not spend the night on the site again, but rather go to the site just 2km further.

Visited with a caravan: Nice place. Rather quiet. No working WiFi (probably temporary). Good 5G coverage though. A lot of small airplanes and so landing at the nearby small airstrip from time to time. Facilities quite ok and big and many. €39 for one night with power.

I wrote this this summer "Nice place. Rather quiet. No working WiFi (probably temporary), told the staff but them couldn’t do anything. Good 5G coverage though. A lot of small airplanes and so landing at the nearby small airstrip from time to time. Facilities quite ok and big and many. €39 for one night with power." ------> My review was reported as defamation? Have removed it now but just letting you know via this account that you should be careful with reviewing this place.

We have been there with our caravan for a few years now.A lot has changed, unfortunately not to the advantage. People have overdone it with living barrels. The once beautiful parking space has become very ugly, completely without the charm of the past. The new showers are too small with no possibility to change clothes. The only positive thing was the very nice young lady upon arrival.Unfortunately we will not be booking here again in the future.

Lots of beautiful tiny houses. The barrels and shepherd's wagons look older.

Cycled past here during our cycle tour along the Almühl. It looked nice, but there was no one in sight, no idea if it was open.

I stayed here with my daughter for an overnight stay. I find the place to be very nicely located and it also offers a large selection of different overnight accommodation options. Very suitable for families with children. Were very satisfied.
