The beer garden is a lot of fun in summer but the beer here is some of the worse in the region.

The rooms are an imposition. The walls are dirty, the shower is completely covered in germs and calcification, there was hair and black crumbs on the bed. Mattress, blanket and pillows were ok. Old tiles and furniture are not a problem, but they should be clean and you just have to paint the walls every now and then - even up to the edge and not stopping 3 cm in front of it. People work in the courtyard in the morning, even on Sundays. Living on the factory premises, smokers under the window, even at night. The price would be ok if the rooms were in better condition or if you were in the heart of a metropolis or tourist hotspot. But it's too expensive. The food was a C at best. The staff was friendly

We only stopped for food. Ambience, well I call it traditional. But service and food was good!! Good middle class and affordable! If you don't need a fancy economy, you're in good hands here!

Any 5-star chef can do this! The kitchen is the real deal! No matter whether it's roasts, pan-fried dishes, side dishes or snacks... Everything just tastes great! The lager is tasty and mild and the Seidla only costs 3.50 euros! And Wild Hilde has her heart in the right place! We like being here

Prices ok, waited an hour, service very unfriendly, won't come back. I won't recommend it, I know I'm not the only one, but at some point you'll be happy when guests come back.

From October 11th - 10/12/24 our group was able to stay in a very nice room at the Kraus brewery restaurant in Hirschaid. At least that's the owner's opinion.Personally, I felt completely different. The furnishings of the rooms in the main house are left over from the 70s. The sanitary area also looked very “used”. The floor, toilet and sink had more or less visible cracks. The cleaning rag was still lying around under the sink.The beds were in one corner and were very uncomfortable. The pillow in particular prevented a good night's sleep. But it would have ended at 6 a.m. anyway, because that's when the noise started in the yard. Sounded like kegs and beer crates were being thrown around.The crowning glory was that the heating and hot water apparently had a malfunction and showering was only possible with cold water. This did not change even after the problem was rectified before departure.I would like to mention that the noise level in the dining room was painfully loud and that the service had a good command of the barracks sound, but I would not include it in the rating.All in all a huge disappointment. The price/performance ratio (€110 for a double room) is in no way appropriate. Discount for the lack of heating/hot water - none.With a small surcharge we almost got a first-class hotel in Bamberg.I gave 2 unjustified stars because Google has repeatedly deleted one-star reviews in the past.

A nice, rustic inn with good, inexpensive, varied food. It was served quickly and friendly. Cooking is done throughout the day. Gladly again!

Beautiful old-fashioned Bavarian inn! Food and drinks are really great! Good-bourgeois-Bavarian!Rooms are very old! The shower head, for example, was quite calcified and calls for a replacement or the rooms should be modernized a bit.
