Nice little hotel located on the edge of the forest and very quiet.Great clean rooms with great bathrooms.Staff nice and accommodating.Breakfast adequate, but no salmon.

Was there for the second time now and have already booked for next year ;-)Very nice hotel with super friendly staff.The breakfast is great and not run-of-the-mill like in other hotels. Only the rolls could be bigger ;-)

The location to the exhibition hall is great (10 minutes on foot), the beds are comfortable and the bathroom is very modern with good water pressure. There was a hair in the sink and a hair clip on the floor. Not bad for me, but maybe for others. Therefore one point deducted.

Nice, cozy hotel. Unfortunately, the lady at reception wasn't very polite, but the staff at breakfast sorted things out. All in all, nothing to complain about.

Nice self-service business hotel. Free on-site parking. Credit card terminal issuing your key as reception. Small single room is just big enough to be comfortable. Modern room and bathroom. Good breakfast buffet. Good for your overnight stay.

I was a guest at Lola in February and was very positively surprised. The hotel is easy to reach by tram, it's only about 5 minutes on foot from the stop. The self-check-in in the early evening worked perfectly, the room was nice and very clean and the location right next to the forest is very pleasant. The bed was very comfortable and the breakfast the next morning was rich and with a good selection. I would love to come back next time I visit Essen.

There is no signage to the parking garage. The access road is beautifully landscaped, although a bit narrow. Upon departure, unpleasant conversations about scratches on my vehicle from before. But breakfast was okay and beer in the lobby was free. It wasn't a parking garage. Things were better in Werden-Hügel.

Beautiful room, everything thought out very well and made for comfort and a perfect night's sleep. The hotel is only staffed from 7am to 3pm so no room service or bar. There is a fridge with beer and soft drinks with an honesty box. The hotel is in a lovely peaceful area, ideal for dog walking and the whole area feels serene. We have not experienced a hotel experience like this before and it was very nice.

Very nice, renovated hotel within walking distance of the trade fair. Right next to it is a larger forest, ideal for winding down after a day at the trade fair. Breakfast was nice, especially the fruit salad, which finally wasn't the run-of-the-mill apple-orange-banana mix

I (unfortunately) only spent one night there. Great hotel, warm welcome, cozy, quiet room. Large parking lot behind the house. Chilled drinks were available and the breakfast was really delicious. We recommend.

The rustic style room was very clean and the beds were comfortable! The hotel itself also made a very well-kept impression. The location is great! However, the selection at the breakfast buffet left a lot to be desired. We had breakfast on a Sunday. Unfortunately, from shortly after 10 a.m. (and we weren't the last guests to arrive for breakfast!) there were no more scrambled eggs and normal eggs were also sold out. Of the 3 biodips, one dip was completely used up. The cheese plate was also almost gone. Also the rolls. After a long wait, a few rolls and croissants (which were immediately sold out) were refilled and also some cheese. Unfortunately the rest was not refilled. The service in the buffet area also made a somewhat annoyed impression. It's a shame...we had hoped for a little more from the much-advertised organic breakfast.

I was at Lola at the beginning of May and it was fantastic.When I checked in, I was warmly welcomed by Ms. Imhoff in the really beautifully designed lobby. (see photo)The breakfast buffet really offers everything your heart desires. From savory to sweet (I recommend the light hazelnut cream oh my!).The Lola is also very well connected. All you have to do to go for a walk in the forest is just fall out of bed.To get something to drink or eat on the “Rü”, you can use the train stop (approx. 150m) or take a walk there. If you feel like “curling up in your hotel room”, you can also go to REWE next to the stop and buy snacks and drinks there for an evening watching TV.I would love to come back!

We stayed in this beautiful house for 2 nights. The journey and check-in were pleasant and uncomplicated. On-site parking spaces are available. The house itself and the room/bathroom made a very clean/well-kept impression! We were very satisfied with our stay and will definitely come back again. The breakfast was excellent. Best Bircher muesli I've ever eaten. Many thanks to the great team. 🧡
