Were invited to a wedding here. I can't say anything about rooms. The premises were very nice and the staff was courteous, friendly and professional, even though they were rather young employees. The good food is particularly noteworthy. It was very surprising how great the quality was. At the last wedding at Maison Messmer (formerly Dorint) 3 years ago, the food was almost slightly worse (but still perfect). So this one (albeit in the country) can easily keep up.

The hotel view was very nice. Neat and above all clean. Very nicely decorated. we even got a travel cot for our babies.There's little to complain about except that it's not all in one building but rather different houses in the village. So for breakfast you had to walk a little way down the street to get to the cafe that belongs to the hotel. Likewise with the restaurant. In the building where the rooms are located, there is a staircase outside. The steps are at a greater distance from each other than usual, which is why you have to walk a little carefully to avoid tripping. The first landing was quite slippery/soapy from the rain.Some rooms had a refrigerator. We had a family room and again didn't have one. The breakfast was ok. However, we suspect that there were baked rolls. At least they were a little harder and drier. And for the price you pay, I expect fresh bread rolls.

Rooms very nice and clean. Unfortunately service was rather poor. For a week now, someone has been supposed to come and open the safe (make it usable) and replace the batteries in the fire alarm... Unfortunately, the situation is not quite ideal. Michelbach is a lovely little town, but the hotel is right on the main road. The window of our room faces the front. Always means traffic. If you leave the windows closed, it's ok. But currently very warm at 30 degrees. There is an air conditioner in the room, but it hums very loudly every 5 minutes. So you have the choice between street noise, the hum of the air conditioning or too warm to sleep. Still recommended for other outside temperatures. The breakfast is good, but could be a little more varied. However, we are probably the only guests who stay longer than 1-2 nights. Conclusion, despite everything, recommended

Good beds, you can eat directly inside or outside in the beer garden. Food good and prices reasonable. Breakfast wide choice. Another small bakery a little further away for sandwiches on the go.

We slept here for one night while in transit. The room was clean, nice size and well equipped. There was air conditioning and there was even a radio in the shower. The location is quiet despite being on the main street and the staff was very friendly. We walked about 100 meters to the attached café for a delicious breakfast. We had dinner opposite the café in the beer garden of the inn belonging to it. Everything was tasty, prices were normal and the service was friendly and on the ball. We would like to come here again.

We celebrated an 80th birthday on New Year's Eve. Location was excellent. Food was excellent. Services were excellent. We can highly recommend the restaurant.

Unfortunately the booked room had some plumbing problems and our visit was cancelled during our trip to the lovely village of Michelbach. Great service though. We were redirected to a nearby Hotel. Not our first choice but, a bed&breakfast.

Historic inn with modern rooms. Access to these is only possible via stairs from the parking lot.Breakfast is served at Gasthof Engel, which is a 2-minute walk away.
