One thing in advance: the breakfast buffet is more than extensive and offers something for every taste. You can get filter coffee, lattes and other coffee specialties as often as you like from the machines. The different types of bread are very tasty. Egg dishes are freshly prepared.However, the single room booked would need the heating and floors to be thoroughly cleaned. The mirror in the bathroom and the glass in the shower were also stained. This shouldn't actually happen in a 4-star hotel.The mattress was perfect, as was the bed. What was a bit annoying for me were the rather thin curtains, which did not adequately block out the artificial light. The hotel is located in the center of the city of Cham. A certain level of noise is normal at night, especially since it is a large hotel.All in all, the price per night of 89 euros is reasonable. The Randsberger Hof is quite suitable for travelers planning a short vacation.I didn't visit the wellness area, I just watched from the window as some guests in bathrobes simply throw their cigarettes down on the roof terrace. Of course, the Wittmann family can't be blamed for the poor behavior of some guests.Our special thanks go to the staff, most of whom come from abroad, speak German very well and are extremely courteous and helpful. A nice hotel with incredibly beautiful indoor and outdoor pools. The breakfast buffet with all the food also invites you to linger and relax. When the weather was nice, the terrace was also open. However, some modernization work can be done in the rooms and in the fitness room. Nevertheless, a great stay in a location that can be used primarily for walking and relaxing.

We often go on long weekends. What was shown on the website was impressively confirmed on site. Everything was as it should be. Of course we were curious about the Skypool. Fun to be able to swim outdoors at this altitude. Indoor pool and saunas are great. The long distances take some getting used to, but not a real problem. The service at breakfast, bar and food, impeccable and friendly. The presence of a member of the family also creates trust. This is not intended to be a criticism, but rather a well-intentioned note. In wellness hotels you will usually find a large number of sauna towels in the sauna area, but unfortunately they were missing. What we think is missing are shower products in indoor swimming pools, pools and saunas. Such things have now become standard. At least it would be an idea to point this out to the guest on the website, so they can take care of themselves. These are little things that are noticed. We were very satisfied with our stay overall.

We booked the spa package. Price performance is completely okay. The check in was friendly with a short explanation of where everything was located. We had communicated in advance via email that one person was eating vegan. Unfortunately this was not passed on to the kitchen. But the service made everything happen. However, the selection of vegan food still has a lot of room for improvement. Rooms clean and modern. Pool very nice. Free drinks station in the wellness area. Spa treatments were good, it would have been nice to ask during the massage whether everything was okay. The fitness area is already very old. The hotel is very spacious with steps, people with walking difficulties might find it difficult. Breakfast buffet rich (except vegan) 4 course menu in the evening. It tasted very good. The manager of the hotel personally greeted the guests at the table early and in the evening, which I found very nice. We'll definitely come back.

We wanted to spend our annual wellness vacation in this hotel at the beginning of the year. When we arrived in downtown Cham, the condition of the building from the outside didn't make a particularly inviting impression. But we didn't want to be deterred. The hotel may have been able to score points with its inner values. Therefore - if you don't dare, you don't win.The reception left much to be desired. The first impression we got was unkempt staff with a clearly unmotivated appearance. We received neither a welcome drink nor a short tour of the hotel. The only thing we received was a rough indication of the room we had booked.When entering the elevator we had to squeeze between the changed bed linen, used towels and trash bags. There is no separate elevator for staff.When we reach the room (via the smelly hallway) the next shock comes: shimmer, dirt, broken furniture, hair under the blanket, cobwebs in every corner - as far as the eye can see.But on to the afternoon snack: loveless selection of salads, soup and a rock-hard baguette - and all of this without any label as to what you should eat. This is great, especially if you have allergies, and is definitely no longer appropriate.Further into the wellness area: loungers - close together, spilled drinks on the sticky floor, dust in every corner and dirty water in the pool... We were in the wellness area from 3 p.m. to around 5 p.m. We didn't see any staff during that time. As a result, from 4:30 p.m. onwards, holidaymakers searched for their way with their cell phone lights due to the dwindling daylight.Shocked, but not yet completely discouraged, we then changed for dinner:1. The starter consisted of various antipasti, which I found much better in the supermarket under the “Good & Cheap” category.2. The main course of the 3/4 board consisted of 3 dishes, which were served from warming boxes. For whatever reason? Don't you trust the guests to take their own food? After the second potato I was asked if I needed another one, I started to feel like I was on the hidden camera. But the saddest sight was when it came to vegetarian food: pasta with oil? Seriously? Basically the food was cold, overcooked and tasteless. (Basically the dishes looked much better ala carte!)3. Oh and our old friend, the rock-hard white bread from the afternoon, was still there... And by that I really mean the identical white bread... It was only lying around uncovered in the dining room for a few hours.4. We saved dessert. We just wanted to leave...We then informed the reception that we would be leaving the hotel again. Apparently there have already been several complaints along the same lines. After calling the junior manager, we were offered a 50% discount - after referring to the photos we were then given a 100% discount - but they insisted on paying for the bottle of water ;) But - fair enough - the bottle of water was by far that Best of the whole day...!If anyone doubts the accuracy of the review, there are both photos and emails with the hotel that prove the accuracy of the descriptions.
