Everything is old and worn out. You have to endure the hum of a refrigerator all night long. Cables hang from the ceiling on the balcony, no fly screens on the windows. If the tractor or a car rushes past, you stand vertically in bed. The door only closes by pulling firmly or locking it with a key.

The Schamberger family is very hospitable. We have rarely experienced such nice hosts. The breakfast was great. The rooms were very clean. The fridge was worth its weight in gold in the heat. Rittsteig is a nice, quiet place. Its location means you can quickly get to the Czech Republic and others beautiful places. Thank you very much again😊

Great for large families, as all rooms have a bathroom and shower, and there is a large kitchen on the ground floor with plenty of space for a family of up to 35 people

The Schamberger couple gave us a very warm welcome. The guesthouse in Rittsteig is approx. 6 km from Neukirchen bei Hlg. Blut. Magnificent view of the Hoher Bogen. The guesthouse itself has simple but very clean rooms with a refrigerator, TV, shower, toilet. The breakfast buffet is excellent. There's really nothing missing. Can compete with a 4 star hotel. Price-performance ratio top. Price range from 24 to 36 euros per person per night including breakfast!!!What is also worth mentioning is that there is a complete kitchen available for guests. So you can use everything for free and leave it clean.So off to the Bavarian ForestP+E Liepner

Booked the entire guesthouse as part of a family celebration. Very nice hosts. Great environment with lots of leisure activities for the whole family. Great hiking trails. Unfortunately, rooms are not so easily suitable for people with mobility problems, as they can only be reached from the 1st floor without a lift, otherwise they are also great, including a balcony with a fantastic view. Shared kitchen including dishes, stove, microwave and coffee machine available. Toilets also available on the ground floor. Free (although slow, but still) WiFi included. Grill also available. A few parking spaces right in front of the door (it was easily enough for the entire family).
