An idyllic family-run hotel with a very nice boss. It is hidden in an alley and is not that easy to find. A garden where you can sit and which is well maintained. Food is made with love and she makes everything fresh with herbs from her garden. Delicious 😋 There was also music on the piano from her son as background music for dinner. The rooms are simple but clean and tidy. Anyone who is here and spends the night must know that seeing the Rhine also means hearing the trains. Here too she tried to offer us rooms with a less noisy atmosphere. It didn't bother us and a tip: there aren't that many trains on the weekend until Monday evening. I can recommend it with a clear conscience.

Super delicious food and great hosts! Discovered this location by chance and can recommend it without reservation. On top of that there was a small private piano concert. Thank you for the lovely evening!

We spontaneously had dinner here. The pizza and pasta are super tasty and freshly prepared by the lady of the house with very good ingredients. The family is very warm and hospitable.

It is probably the cheapest hotel in Assmannshausen and still probably has the fewest guests at the time I was there. I now know why.I had planned 4 nights and paid in advance on site.I heard other guests on the second night and didn't see anyone else apart from the one woman who ran the hotel. It started with difficult communication, just misunderstandings, but according to her the fault was always mine.I should first get a room on the second floor, and more importantly, on the side facing away from the train. I wanted WiFi, so she gave me a room on the first floor because of the better connection, unfortunately facing the train. Unfortunately, the WiFi was no longer so important. The hotel can't do anything about the train, which picks up speed again to Rüdesheim. But unfortunately you only have the choice between being too loud or too hot, with the window open or closed. On the first morning I asked if I might prefer the other room, which was away from the train. Unfortunately no, unfortunately not at all. It is too complicated. Somehow I even had a little understanding of that.Breakfast was also planned, but then she tried to advise me against it because it would be too time-consuming since I was the only guest who wanted breakfast. We agreed to try it on the first morning. Breakfast was slightly below average, but ok. The whole atmosphere was reminiscent of Corona Hotel times, a haunted house and breakfast was brought, not a buffet. The second morning I went to another hotel nearby.I don't really care about the furnishings, the ambience, the design. I just need a bed, a shower (hot) and breakfast, the rest doesn't matter. Now the water heater was switched off on the first morning due to a delivery of heating oil. She told me there was no hot water at that time. OK. Hours later, around early afternoon, I wanted to take a quick shower - no warm water. I took a cold shower. Again I must have misunderstood something. OK. But at night, after a hot day at a festival where a shower was urgently needed, more than 12 hours after the heating oil was delivered, there was still no hot water. Instead of saying, "Yes, I'm sorry," or something like that, the only accusation was that you don't shower at this time of day anymore.Something can always be the case, and given the price you might have to make a few compromises, but all in all it was too much trouble for me.I wanted to cancel. That wasn't possible either. If everything were ok and I had to cancel for some personal reason, I would fully understand that there would be no refund due to the short notice, but almost nothing was right here, so they could have accommodated me a little. I still called it quits after the second of four nights, packed my things and moved to another real hotel. €94 wasted. In the other hotel: light, bustling people, life, breakfast buffet, large room, warm water, even at night. View of the Rhine. Despite being close to the train, very quiet. But also a little more than double the price.
