The food is good, but the unfriendly and brash owner spoils your visit. You don't get the impression that the owner enjoys her job and that the guests are a burden to her.

We have been to the Waldschänke several times, whether with family, colleagues, friends or just my husband and I. We always receive friendly service and pleasant conversation. You can sit comfortably there, whether outside or inside, in the hall or in the winter garden. We were seated well everywhere. :) We have always been extremely satisfied with the food. It's tasty, fresh and the portions are very generous. There are sufficient parking spaces available. It is advisable to reserve a table in advance as the Waldschänke is often busy. Extremely unfriendly experience. Some of the larger group of older guests who were invited to a celebration here were very surprised and frightened. The restaurant won't see us anymore.

Typical inn in the area. You take a seat in a large hall. It's not very comfortable there. But the service is very friendly. The food (in my case schnitzel with fried mushrooms and hunter's sauce and fried potatoes) arrived at the table nice and hot and was a really large portion. You can choose a small or large portion from the menu. And if the Waldschänke Kipp thinks big, then the portion is big! So bring your hunger! The whole thing tasted delicious and was well seasoned. The food is not cheap, but the portion size is appropriate. - So: If you're hungry and like home-style food (especially schnitzel), this is the place for you.

We were there for a birthday. The waiters/maids were very nice. The service very good. Food tasted very tasty.We often go there for schnitzel and the portions are good.The atmosphere is a bit older but really nice.

The Waldschänke restaurantWe chose it despite some bad reviews on the internet. It was the right decision.We were allowed to sit in the house's well-tempered winter garden,take a seat in a great ambience.Our order was taken very quickly by the friendly waitress.We ordered schnitzel with fried potatoes and 2 fried eggs. The seasonal salad was served very quickly.AT THE FINEST.Then our order came.AT THE VERY FINEST.If it were possible we would have given ***** 6 stars.

Last night we wanted to drink a beer and eat something unannounced. The boss sent us off in a very unfriendly manner, so to speak, even though there were enough tables available.Unfortunately, in the past the food wasn't particularly special either (warmed up onions floating in fat with the schnitzel)It was the last time we were there and we won't recommend this restaurant

We became aware of the Waldschänke because of the advertising on the street.We were shown a nice table even without a reservation.The menu is so varied and home-style, it's hard to decide. The food tastes excellent.The staff is very nice and attentive. We felt very comfortable.We will definitely come again.Thank you

We stood here in the motorhome and had a really good meal in the Waldschänke. In conjunction with the meal, the parking space, including electricity and water, was free of charge.

We ended up here spontaneously in the motorhome. The restaurant is in a beautiful, idyllic and quiet location. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.I can't say anything negative about the food, everything was very tasty and sufficient, even the small portion.Price performance is right. Everything has become more expensive, and many people forget that.
