TLDR: If you are looking for a small scale little campsite, look no further; this is it!!Early June me and my partner decided quite last minute that we wanted to go to Austria and found this camping. We are so happy that we did, because this is the nicest camping we have ever been!!First of all, the owners are just great. Very friendly and cooperative. We kinda underestimated how cold it could get at night early june (around 8°C) and we did not bring the right tent or clothes for this. The owners offered us a very generous solution for this, for which we are so grateful because it really made our vacation much more enjoyable 🥰The campsite is situated next to a beautiful little lake that was already warm enough to swim in early june (with a little courage). You can walk around it (2km) which is a wonderful route along flowery meadows and waterlilies. Within walking distance there are several restaurants (we recommend MioMondo and Breitenhof) and a supermarket. But for your fresh bread and pie you can stay on the campsite, because a little truck will drive there. Great service.If you like hiking, there are several starting points within a 5, 15 or 30 minute drive. Taking the lift to the Kaisergebirge (free with the Gästekarte) is something you absolutely HAVE to do, even if you only go there for the stunning view.There are many facilities on the campsite: a washer, dryer, washing room for dishes, very clean shower and toilets, a little fridge for your cooling blocks, drying racks for clothes, camping chairs you can borrow, etc. We had no trouble getting our tent pins in the ground (we used both pointed and normal ones) and the terrain is very well drained. There is a lot of attention to sustainability, as you can seperate your waste into 7-8 different options and there are solar panels on the roof.There is a board with all the various activities in the neighbourhood that is refreshed weekly. On the campsite itself you can practise bowery with one of the owners, unfortunately we forgot.We still think about this campsite a lot (I think its called Fernweh ;) ) and we have recommended it to many friends already. We are definitely coming back here, if only to practise shooting an arrow!

Booked a place via email and indicated that we were coming with a 7-meter caravan. When we arrived, the caravan just fit on it with great difficulty, but you couldn't even unscrew a cassette awning and the car didn't fit either! We have a lounge tent that couldn't handle it at all! They first said that we should have looked more closely ourselves. But there are no dimensions on the site, you will only see them when you book online. However, we booked by email and could not have known that the places were so small. When they did not win, they indicated that we had not mentioned that we wanted to hang something on the caravan (awning) and that it was therefore our own fault and therefore we did not get our money back. They had no more places available and were completely unwilling to think along or find a solution!Result LOST MONEY and looking for another campsite. They are big scammers!If you go to Lake Thiersee, don't book the Rueppenhof! You're almost sitting at the table with your neighbors (if your caravan even fits on the spot!). There is another campsite right next to Rueppenhof. We were able to stay there for 1 night as an emergency. Beautiful places, nice sanitary facilities and friendly people!

We needed a stopover for one night and were kindly able to arrive by 9 p.m. - the place number was given to us on the phone. The campsite is located on the lake - but you can only see it from some places. The pitches are mostly uneven, ours was only partially paved - the neighbors talked about a “rescue operation” by the predecessors - it was stuck.Why only three stars?There are many better places, among other things, the sanitary facilities (toilet, shower, washroom) are very old, a bucket of paint and removing the mold (which will hopefully happen very soon) is no longer enough, places that are not level and If they are only partially attached, they also cost points. At night I would like a little more lighting - it's a bit dark in places. There is also no possibility to buy anything on site. Maybe vending machines or something similar would be an option here.

Beautiful, well-kept, family campsite with a great location for hiking or spending the day at the lake. The owners were also very nice and helpful. The bus stop and supermarket are within walking distance, which is a big advantage for travelers without a car. We'd love to come back!

We had asked by email for room for our caravan of approx. 7 meters. When we arrived, the pitches turned out to be less than 7 x 9 meters! They didn't say it and it's not on the site either. …

This is my second time here. I like it very much. Small, cozy, good final price. We were able to swap places at short notice, which was really nice.Lots of tents and lots of dogs.
