We were here for the Halloween event and it was just wonderful. The location in the fortress is a dream. You could relax right from the start with coffee, cocoa, cake and a phenomenal view. The rooms are really good for a DJH and have everything they need. The staff (whether young or older) were very courteous, in a good mood and responded wonderfully to the children's needs. The food (especially the breakfast) was very good and definitely of a higher DJH standard. But the best thing about the stay was the amazing program. There wasn't a long time at all, there was a lot of crafting, discovering, playing, being frightened, putting on make-up, taking a castle tour, playing bingo, carving pumpkins, a castle rally, a costume competition and having a party. The children had so much fun.Many thanks to all highly committed employees! It was the best DJH stay we've ever had and we'll definitely be back!

Very nice youth hostel, rooms small but nice, there is plenty of choice for breakfast and dinner and it is very tasty, nice location with a wonderful view, perfect for excursions and the fortress, which is included for visitors to the youth hostel, is also very nice in the evenings, which is my favorite However, my daughter liked the bats that you can see around the fortress in the evening.

Beautiful youth hostel at the Ehrenbreitstein Fortress in Koblenz with a great view over the city. Our room was equipped with bunk beds, a table and a separate bathroom. The breakfast was buffet style and contains everything you need. The staff was friendly and nice.

Unfortunately, it is difficult for someone like me who is afraid of millipedes to sleep safely. However, it is a wonderful place for those who are not afraid. Both its location, its historical background, especially its polite and helpful staff and its great menus will really satisfy and leave an impression.

If I could give this hostel 10 points, it would still not be enough!We were guests for a wonderful weekend and the hostel scores not only with its special location and the incredibly beautiful view but also with what it offers and the friendly team that can answer any question and sweeten your day with a smile. The walks through the fortress or into the valley (even with luggage) are more of an adventure and if you take your time, they're not a problem.We'd love to come backKind regards Anja & Anja

The two of us spent a night in the youth hostel. After requesting via email, a cheap parking space (4.50 euros) was reserved for us in advance at the bottom of the inclined elevator. The day ticket (valid for 24 hours) for the inclined elevator was also cheap (3 euros adult + 1.50 euros child). The staff at the youth hostel were very courteous and helpful. The room was good and the toilet and shower were modern. As guests we were able to visit the fortress free of charge. The surroundings and the view are sensational. I was also pleasantly surprised by the breakfast as it was also aimed at vegans. There were 2 types of vegan spread, 2 types of plant milk and a plant-based yogurt (in addition to several jams and fresh fruit). We would like to come again.

The best youth hostel I have ever visited in the fortress with access to the museum included. An incredible view over Koblenz from up there. With a bistro where you can eat snacks and cold drinks until the evening. Simply great for small to large!!!

If you book the DJH, entry to the fortress is free. As a DJH guest you can park cheaply at the fortress elevator for €4.50/day.The elevator is free if you have the Germany ticket.

The view is super nice but the rooms are unfortunately dirty. The walls are covered in brown stains. There is diarrhea in the toilet. The floor was completely full of hair and crumbs. It was dusty too. The food is great, but what's stupid is that he only gives still water and tea that was unsweetened and didn't taste like anything. The programs are completely in place. I would recommend that people who don't drink still water take their own water with them. All I can say about the staff is unfriendly. The cleaner complained to me in a tone that was really not nice (I followed everything and was still complained about). The people at the reception are very friendly. There is also a playground for children. With a slide, swings etc. Seating options can also be found there.

Really nice as a youth hostel. The location with its view is unique. However, you have to keep in mind that the parking lot is available for several destinations. You can get into the parking lot with your day ticket in a crowded situation, but you just have to convince the people waiting in front of the barrier that you have already rented a parking space.From the parking lot to the hostel is really a long walk. Somewhere between 5 and 10 minutes I guess. Folding handcarts for luggage would be advisable. 😉Food is plentiful and good - certainly not exceptional. There are plenty of machines around that should satisfy most cravings outside of counter hours. There really is choice within that time...too much to list here.There is a table tennis table outside for climbing and playing. There was also a separate soccer field.I was really missing spaces where you could do something in peace with the group or with the children.

The location alone is worth 5 stars, as is the view. The kitchen has improved significantly since our last visit and so has the service. You can tell that a new wind is blowing in the kitchen. The rooms were clean and great for the price..We'll definitely be back.

Badly. The rooms were not ready for the group's arrival. There is no communication between employees! The wallpaper was dirty, the room smelled damp, we had to look for sockets under the table. There are no normal hangers for outerwear. The whole group had to look for coffee at breakfast...The only positive point is the very comfortable shower.
