Some people complain about the equipment and presentation. I see it a little differently.Yes, the hotel and inn are from the 70s (approximately). I think some of the things in the restaurant are even a little older. But: It also has its own charm. And the restaurant, which is worth seeing, with its lovingly collected plates from all over the world on the walls, has its own story(s). The landlady/owner briefly told me the meaning behind it. A beautiful relic from a time that is unfortunately long gone, when gatherings and cosiness were still a tradition and visiting the “village restaurant” still brought people together.Otherwise I can only say: my HD 32" LED flat screen TV in the room is big enough, I didn't need binoculars (of course I can only report on "my" room), there is free WiFi (so it's not everything was left in the 70s) and the bathroom/shower/toilet work perfectly. The balcony is sufficiently large. Opposite you can see geese in the garden and in the evening you can hear the crickets. The landlady/owner was very friendly.The hotel is well located in terms of transport.Unfortunately I wasn't able to take advantage of the food on offer due to time constraints, so I can't write anything about it. Just this much: the prices on the menu are completely okay or, in other words, even comparatively cheap.

It was definitely a really great country hotel at one time...unfortunately it's getting old and you can tell that the owner can no longer manage it on her own.Not only my room, but also those of my two colleagues were very 70s. Unfortunately also the smell in the rooms...In terms of cleanliness, I've had worse hotels...But in terms of price there is nothing to complain about.WiFi is available. Just no binoculars for the TV 🙊Unfortunately there aren't really any restaurants or anything like that at the location.

Unfriendly staff if it wasn't even the owner or family member. Absolutely arrogant manner. TV far too old and small (tube). The room prices are absolutely not justified for the old facilities

Today, after a hike in Solling, we spontaneously went to “Zum Stillen Winkel”. We were greeted warmly by the landlady, even though we were there a little early. We enjoyed the food, the service was very friendly and the atmosphere is appropriate for the inn. We felt very comfortable there and would like to go there again.

I can only recommend a house where hospitality is very important and the food is super delicious. (slaughter food, goose food, Christmas dinner or from the menu).

I would prefer not to give a star...but I have never been so horrified after visiting a restaurant. Vegetarians are “not normal” people. Service is terrible. And in general you have filled yourself undesirably. Just don't ask when the bill will arrive otherwise you will be shouted at, what an impudence it would be to rush you. Food was okay but you could have made it much tastier yourself.
