We really enjoy coming to the Wirtshaus 1884 for dinner on a regular basis. The quality of the food is really great and always impresses. Creative ideas and changing cards. However, I have to say that in the price category we are in here I would like a little more “service”, in the sense of a little greeting from the kitchen etc. The prices of the dishes are around €20-€35 each dish and here I unfortunately have to say that actually all other restaurants in this price range in the area serve at least a small bread basket with dips, a small soup or a schnapps after the meal. Maybe you'll reconsider :)

Food at a high level.Today we have really excellent foodin the tavern 1848 in the Sollingshöhe country housein Silberborn in Solling.I ordered the onion roast.The clear menu showed:Onion roast with Burgundy jusbraised onions and spaetzle as well as Maultaschen.I then have this with roasted potatoes instead of spaetzleordered.The food was just to die for.Diverse flavor nuances of herbs and onions,and the Jus had to be discovered.The onion roast Angus beef melted in your mouth.The Maultaschen had a special herbal tasteout of here. Onions in the jus and the excellent fried onions further contributed to a very special taste experience.My recommendation... don't make any changes.The chef really put some thought into the composition and implemented it with excellent craftsmanship.There were four of us and everyone really enjoyed the foodextremely satisfied.The 300 gram steak, which my wife preferred, was cooked "medium" as ordered and was a delight in itself.The menu and dishes change slightly over time.This is very positive, but you have to get involved with the variety of flavors of the dishes.Lovingly designed desserts rounded off our lunchInn in 1848.A wonderful experience in a dignified ambience and the charm of an old half-timbered house in a small village in the middle of Solling.Thank you

Very good starting point for tours to the Weser and the Weserbergland! Kitchen deserves very good ratings, as does the service. The rooms are a bit more traditional, but clean. Top service for motorcyclists (including workshop technology).I'd love to go there again!

When asked about this, the service staff immediately reacted sharply. You just don't want guests who "share a sheep's cheese for four hours." Anyone who feels addressed by this type of image of people and guests and likes food without sophistication should come here. I won't again.

I can highly recommend the restaurant. The decor is very stylish and cozy, the staff is very friendly and accommodating. There's not much to say about the food - it's extremely tasty and reasonably priced.Oh yes, definitely make a reservation on the weekend ;)

We were there for the second time and once again everything was great: food, service and location.When it comes to food and drink, nothing is left to be desired - and when we asked for something that was on the menu last week, the kitchen conjured up exactly that. Magical because the accompanying potato salad was freshly prepared especially for us. That's what I call service!Thank you very much!
