The restaurant advertises game specialties. I was disappointed that of the 3 game dishes only the bratwurst and spaghetti bolognese were available. So reschedule at short notice. The food came quite quickly and was also tasty. The service employee had a Franconian charm.The decor is rustic. The menu is plain and simple with its own variations.

We ended up here by chance and were very curious about the game dishes.The wild boar bolognese was delicious. The wild boar Maultaschen were good.Nice service, reasonable price.

After a nice hike we were here to finish! The service was great, attentive and everything went quickly! Location also good. We found the cakes OK but not great. Otherwise everything is perfect.

I've only been coming here for a short time (regularly every few weeks for about 11 years, often more often, sometimes several times a week...). I am always warmly welcomed and served very nicely. The freshly prepared food and the homemade cakes taste really good. I often take something with me for home. My wishes are also gladly implemented when I feel like getting something that isn't on the menu, like today again. I also like to eat here with guests and friends, often at their request. They then say, let's go back to the restaurant on the top corner, it's always so nice and tasty. And a very close friend from Upper Swabia says these are the best Kässpätzle he knows. And that as a Swabian in a non-Swabian restaurant...I often meet up here with a good friend from the southern Black Forest and we enjoy the delicious rump steak, she with fries, I with delicious fried potatoes. Or in the season, lamb's lettuce with crackers, I'll tell you a poem.... Unfortunately, the season is way too short for that...Or the roast beef with horseradish, delicious...But enough now, try it out for yourself, as everyone knows, tastes vary, I found my delicious restaurant here.

It's been a long time since I've had such a bad rump steak, fries, well the ones from Burger King taste better and they taste miserable. No further recommendation.The attentiveness of the service and friendliness can also be improved. Had a bad day or something, you don't know. Used to better service

1a restaurant!By chance we were in the Waldschänke a week ago and were warmly welcomed (probably by the owner himself).We have never eaten a schnitzel like this before! Tasty, crispy crust and a delicious side salad.The prices are completely okay.It's lovely to sit outside in the middle of nature!We found a goldmine, thank you ⭐️ 😊

Nice young hosts and service, regional cuisine. Meat, fish, vegetarian. Right on the B500 towards Plättig, yet a quiet atmosphere in the beer garden with rustic wooden benches and tables. Cakes are made in-house and are very tasty.

Unfortunately, I went to the restaurant with different expectations. On Sundays and in the middle of the Black Forest you just expect roast with dumplings or game goulash etc. and not schnitzel or rump steak. And the greasy fried potatoes and venison sausages without any greens like lettuce wedges unfortunately annoyed me and I left again and Sunday was over. Should have read the card first, like usual.The plus point was the location and the quick service

Along a curve along the Black Forest High Road towards Baden Baden is this beautifully located Waldschänke with plenty of wooden outdoor seating. There is also a small playground for the little ones in the rear part of the outdoor area. Inside, seating is in German tavern style. The first impression of the hostess was very nice and familiar, which was confirmed again after several visits by the pleasant hospitality. The selected food (seasonal spaghetti with chanterelles and various game dishes) is really delicious. Depending on the season, different variations of local game dishes are served here. The last meal we ordered - wild boar goulash with spaetzle - was really good. There are also game specialties to take home with you.
