The rooms are probably rented primarily to adult groups, such as sports teams, bachelor parties, etc., who want to celebrate somewhere inexpensively in a large group. The price-performance ratio is right.Of course, these groups usually only need a bed in the middle of the night. The rooms are functionally furnished without a lot of frills. The beds are fine and clean. Light switches directly on the bed are advantageous, as would sockets directly on the bed.The wet rooms aren't really that great; the entire plastic enclosure seems suitable for cleaning with a high-pressure cleaner. The shower was really dirty with clearly visible "knees". As I said, the majority of booking groups are definitely not interested in this. It's nice that you can completely darken the rooms with the curtains and the windows can be opened completely. What is hardly acceptable is that you only get a room card. As a party group on a large area with many possibilities of losing your roommate, there should be one room card per person. In addition to the wet room, this is really a clear negative point. The location in the immediate vicinity of the party locations is absolutely positive. It certainly helps not to have to walk far in the middle of the night. The accommodation is definitely acceptable for a party group over the weekend.

We had to stay there one night in early May. Unfortunately the heating had already been switched off and it was freezing cold in the room. We wore several layers of clothing at night because it was so cold. The bathroom is a container that was simply placed in the room, the floor was made of plastic and gave way with every step.At breakfast no more food was refilled at 9:20, even though the dining room was full and you could have breakfast until 10 a.m.If we come close again we will definitely not stay here again :)

The waiters are top.Friendly and quick service. The rooms are just bad.Although the maid had just finished her work when she moved into the room, the bathroom still hadn't been cleaned. There were traces of the predecessor on the fittings and on the toilet, which had not been cleaned. This is not what you would expect when purchasing a new home.

If you have legitimate reasons to be in Kalkar, hotel Charlotte isn’t a bad hotel. The way it’s decorated highlights a certain sense of humor, the rooms and descent and the buffet is abundant. However im not sure I can highly recommend it given that after leaving my key at the reception before going out, the staff lost it and was not able to make a copy within the remaining two days of my stay, nor could their pass the info amongst different shifts or even have my room serviced…
