I go to the watch fair in Godenen Raben every year and am completely satisfied. Nice quiet location, quaint economy. Nobody can expect a top hotel for the price per night. I'm happy to accept the simple furnishings of the rooms and the simple breakfast. But it's quite fun there every year (most of the guests have known each other for years), the food is also very good and I enjoy the days to the fullest. It goes without saying that I will be there again for the upcoming watch fair in 5 weeks

Unfortunately I cannot agree with the previous positive reviews. The house seemed like a chamber of horrors to me. The rooms were very dirty and full of dead flies, I even found some in the coffee. Even if you don't expect much on a hiking tour, I wouldn't stay here again and would prefer a tent instead.

Was hiking on the Westweg and the inn was on the way. Charm from the 70s. And more restaurant than hotel. Room very quaint, but overall made a good and clean impression. Excellent value for money, both in the restaurant and in the hotel.

Quaint inn. The two ladies there are friendly and the food is delicious! My room was good, clean and cheap.I would recommend the inn if you need accommodation on a multi-day hike.

If you want to find some peace and quiet to recharge your batteries, this is really the place to be ✨👍Very quietly located between the mountains in the heart of the Black Forest, where you can also go in different directions to discover beautiful and especially idyllic places 👍And yes, the rooms are definitely not the most modern, but they are well cared for, we had a toilet and shower in our room, so we think that's quite okay, for example, not having to walk in the hallway at night to get to to go to the toilet! After all, we came here to really clear our heads and to really enjoy all the beauty that we have been able to admire here 👍🍷🥂And, you better believe, we really ended up here like in a fairytale, as far as the view is concerned 😎🍾🥂

Were on the Westweg and took a break there and ate a little something. Nice people! Time stopped there. I didn't want to spend a night there.

We felt very comfortable at the Hotel Goldener Rabe. The decor was very quaint and cozy. The large tiled stove in the guest room provided cozy warmth and invited you to relax. The robust service and the nice boss enchanted us with their charm. Always a good meal and breakfast. There was plenty of fruit and even homemade Christmas cookies. The men's group at the regulars' table always had some information and a joke on their lips. The rooms were clean and friendly decorated in the old charm of the seventies. Pets are also welcome. Top address for us. We'd love to come back

We visited the Raben by chance and were extremely satisfied, both with the food and the hospitality. There was venison goulash and schnitzel and both were very good at extremely reasonable prices. At the end, the waitress served homemade Christmas cookies. Wonderful and recommended.

On our hike over the WasserWeltenSteig we stopped in on a rainy day. From the outside it looked like it was closed, but don't let that put you off and just look at the door to see if it's open.We were warmly welcomed into the heated inn, with a real old tiled stove in operation! Wonderful, it brings back childhood memories...We were given tea and coffee, as well as delicious home-baked plum cake with sprinkles...Yum!The landlady was very nice, the “house dog” also greeted us every now and then ;-)Thanks for the opportunity to warm us up!
