Excellent food (back of venison with red cabbage or veal fillet with morels) as well as friendly and attentive service. When the weather is nice you can enjoy the sun on the outside terrace. The cake buffet is also highly recommended.

A lovely family-run hotel in a quiet location, super nice and warm hosts and the food is excellent! I can only recommend the Sennhütte, regardless of whether you are just visiting a restaurant or staying overnight.

A friendly family business. :-)We had one of the renovated rooms. It was modernly furnished. The bathroom with floor-to-ceiling shower.The kitchen serves excellent dishes. The wines are selected and inexpensive.A clear recommendation! :-)

The restaurant and hotel is located in a very beautiful landscape above the Kleiner Wiesental. Regional products, creative cuisine! An attentive and unobtrusive service. Family business! You can feel the personal commitment. You made our 33rd wedding anniversary a great experience. Thanks!

The summer menu was good.The starter, a tomato soup, was excellent.The main course, the sliced veal rump, was a bit hearty, the vegetables and the spaetzle were excellent.The dessert, the homemade elderflower ice cream, was also very good.The waitress was very friendly and attentive.Price/performance very good.Gladly again!

Cozy hotel, good kitchen, spacious rooms and very friendly staff.We arrived after a motorcycle ride of about 11 am just before 8 pm (this was possible according to Booking.com), but it turned out that it was only possible until 6 pm. Nevertheless, we were still able to check in with a very friendly lady. The kitchen turned out to close at 8 p.m., but we were also allowed to have dinner. Delicious food. After dinner to the room. Very spacious room, ditto bathroom. 2 private balconies, 1 with beautiful views. Bed is fine.

We visited the very nice restaurant today and we were not at all disappointed. There were great local specialties using locally sourced produce. I can't even say what we liked best. The chive oil with the cheese and the delicacies from the snack menu were particularly special.The service was incredibly personable and friendly. We have felt very comfortable here.

Very quiet place, very nice rooms on the 2nd floor, newly renovated, the breakfast is also impressive and in the evening you can choose something from the menu and have it delivered to your room. A very warm family business!

The reception wasn't very friendly. For once the weather was nice that day (July 11th) and so when we arrived we asked if there was still a table available outside. We were told quite harshly that something like this had to be mentioned when making the reservation. But then it was possible. We had the impression that the staff was under stress and that there was "thick air".The food was good, the service was otherwise attentive and friendly.When paying, we were again instructed that we should mention any special requests when registering. I actually wanted to say that this instruction was unnecessary because we definitely won't be eating at the Sennhütte again.

The restaurant is comfortably furnished and the dishes are very tasty and well prepared. There are a lot of things from the region and also a great selection of wines. The staff was very attentive and accommodating, as they should be. Overall, highly recommended!

Amazing stay! We enjoyed the friendly service of ALL the staff. The rooms which are a bit outdated but very clean, cozy and large! Location is perfect for walks in the area.Restaurant is good as well. Convenient when you have a small baby which can stay upstairs.
