We have never found a holiday home as fully furnished as the Anno1875 holiday home! It's not just the complete facilities that impress, but also the attention to detail and the wonderfully quiet location. With this jewel, the Luitjens family has made a holiday dream come true.A very big compliment and congratulations on this great object!

Beautiful house, in a great location, so you have absolute peace and quiet but can get anywhere quickly. A great starting point for day trips on foot, by bike or by car. Parking space for one car available. The house is so lovingly furnished and family-friendly that you can immediately feel comfortable and enjoy yourself. Due to its age and the associated construction, the upper floor can be reached via a relatively steep staircase. No problem for us, with children who are just starting to walk you might have to be a little more careful. Very clever room layout, so that the small house becomes a space miracle. There were three of us (2 adults and 1 baby) and we only used the small bedroom, so there would have been room for more people. Everything was very clean and furnished and equipped to a high standard. We'll definitely come back!

We were very impressed by the pictures on the internet. But our expectations were exceeded. The holiday home has a fully equipped kitchen and all rooms are lovingly furnished and decorated. The location is also great, the Ems Jade Canal is only 100 meters away and is ideal for cycling. It's not far to get to Emden either. We would love to come back again :-)

I spent ten very nice vacation days in East Frisia with two friends. The wonderful holiday home Anno 1875 in beautiful Uphusen offered us cozy accommodation. Ideally located, we were able to start hikes from the house or take them easily by car.Walking along the canal (to Emden) is so calming and beautiful. A bus stop was also just a few minutes away. After day trips we found the holiday home to be “our” cozy home. The kitchen is modern, equipped with all the necessities and the other rooms are very comfortably furnished.Parking next to the house is also great and shopping is just a stone's throw away by car. Due to the quiet location, the nights were very relaxing and I was looking forward to the sun waking me up in the morning through the bedroom window for new activities.Thank you very much for the opportunity to experience this wonderful holiday in the beautiful holiday home Anno 1875!

This address is highly recommended and the small town of Uphusum is a gem. As soon as we entered the holiday home we felt like we had arrived and were at home. The house from 1875 is tastefully furnished, the combination of original substance and modernity looks harmonious and cozy. Our hosts, the Luitjens family and the direct neighbors, are friendly people, helpful and communicative. There are numerous sights in the area: we also enjoyed some long walks to the salt marshes in the cities of Emden, Groningen (NL), and Leer, as well as two trips to the islands of Langeook and Baltrum with a 3.5-hour mudflat hike . There are delicious local products to enjoy throughout the coastal region of East Frisia, and in the harbor of Neßmersiel there is even a gourmet café restaurant - Fährhaus - with a permanent place in the Michelin Guide (!). Relaxation and strength are possible here at affordable prices, often in the middle of a nature reserve. We wish the Luitjens family all the best and thank you very much for their hospitality. LG., Alexandra and Stefan.
