The Schul Inn guesthouse is located in a former school building that has been lovingly converted. The hosts are just as lovingly furnished as the rooms. We felt very comfortable here and would love to come back next year. Thank you very much!

Former state school building with many amenities and attention to detail, room + bathroom. Free WiFi, Netflix access and parking. I felt very comfortable for the second time and will stay there again next year. Highly recommended.

We felt completely at home in the Schul'inn. The Block family has lovingly and tastefully renovated the old school. The kitchen is fully functional and the beds are very comfortable. Furthermore, the location is very good - the Wartburg can be reached in 20 minutes by car, but hiking trails start right from the guesthouse. Highly recommended!

Very nice accommodation! Old, very stylish building, modern tasteful furnishings, very friendly hosts. Everything was perfect! I recommend it to everyone! Erfurt, Eisenach and the forest are ideal excursion destinations.

a very nice place, an old school that the two owners have purchased and are slowly turning into a guest house, doing the work themselves, respecting the law that protects the structure as a monument. everyone was very nice and helpful, the apartment was comfortable, very clean and well furnished, functional in everything. our stay went in the best possible way, highly recommended, and good luck to the young couple who manage the guesthouse, best wishes to the whole family and their cats

A wonderful accommodation 😊👏. We were able to spend a few great days there as a whole family (7 people and a baby) and had enough space. We had an entire floor to ourselves 👍. The accommodation is very tastefully furnished with passion, very modern and practical. You feel very comfortable and welcome 👍. Great, there is parking right in front of the property. It's always worth a visit 👏👏👏.

Absolute dream! If I had the chance, I would give this accommodation 6 stars. Large and high rooms, spacious bathrooms, everything is very modern and furnished with love. I felt like I was on the ZDF show “Schöner Wohnen”. As a family (7 people and 1 baby) we booked an entire floor for ourselves and really had plenty of space. Only the main door to the apartment has rubbed along the floor, this probably needs to be fixed so that the beautiful floor is not damaged. Otherwise everything was to our satisfaction and worked perfectly. We also really appreciated the parking option in front of the accommodation. I think the price-performance ratio is absolutely fine. We would be happy to recommend you and look forward to staying in your accommodation again. Best regards from Switzerland.

We stayed in the holiday apartment for a long time and felt so comfortable. The apartment is furnished with great attention to detail and you really have everything you need. A really nice place to stay. Warm welcome and sweet little gestures that make you feel very welcome. A very lovingly furnished room and beautiful bathroom. My partner and I really enjoyed our stay and recommend Pension Schul Inn for couples and families who would like to spend their stay in a former old school.

Due to a family celebration, we spent the past weekend (Fri/Sat - 2 nights) in the privately run guesthouse “Schul Inn” in Ruhla OT Thal. It was a great experience all around. Booking, check-in (personally by boss Stephanie Block), stay, check-out everything was refreshingly pleasant and uncomplicated. We can therefore highly recommend the Schul Inn.A very good price-performance ratio, great location in the Thuringian Forest, close to Eisenach. There is an outdoor swimming pool in the immediate vicinity.The Schul Inn is a converted old school building and is a listed building. With loving in-house work and under the strictest (typically German) conditions, the building was restored, renovated and lovingly converted into a very beautiful guesthouse. The small park opposite invites you to relax and unwind. Within walking distance there is (according to hearsay) an excellent pizzeria. There are also charging options for electric vehicles directly at the guesthouse. There is no breakfast in the guesthouse (this is the sole reason why it doesn't get full points in the overall and service rating), but a bread roll service is offered. The apartment has an excellently equipped kitchen.A touching thing was the personal letter from Ms. Stephanie Block about the history and renovation of the property.CONCLUSION:We would be happy to come back and can wholeheartedly recommend a stay at the Schul Inn to everyone.

We came across this guesthouse while looking for accommodation near Eisenach. A real stroke of luck. We spent 3 days and 2 nights in the modern yet comfortably furnished apartment. Although the pension owners themselves were not on site during our stay, they made sure that we felt warmly welcome and in good hands with lovingly prepared little things. If we need somewhere to stay overnight in the Thuringian Forest again, the “Schul Inn” guesthouse is definitely the first choice. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

First of all: a blast!We have now been guests at the Schul-Inn twice and would come back at any time.Both times we booked the large apartment on the upper floor and were thrilled! High-quality furnishings with great attention to detail. In addition, a very friendly hostess - that's what you always wish for, but here your wish is really fulfilled - and how!!!Cleanliness, homeliness, comfort, communication, etc. - everything at the highest level!We rarely give all 5 stars, but here we would have liked to give it a 6th one - for the very first time.

We have been here for the second time and are still so excited about this beautiful and very clean guesthouse!Especially those furnished with a lot of love down to the smallest detail and meticulously cleanbathrooms and the modern,lovingly furnished rooms.ABSOLUTE FEEL-GOOD FACTOR!!!!It's also so great for us to see what the owners have "done" to the school, invested in it and restored it.Our dad (born in 1945) and his siblings “attended” this school back then.Our aunt, who is over 80 years old, lives right across the street and is absolutely thrilled with what has become of “her” old school; ))We always feel very comfortable here, are always warmly welcomed and look forward to seeing you again (one week from today :)))))We wish you all the best and love for the future and always be as extremely satisfied guests as we were and always are!!Thank you very much for this always relaxed and pleasant stay!!!In our opinion "Absolutely recommended"!!!!!!!!

We visited in August and had a large apartment with a double bed, cot and sofa bed.From experience with other holiday apartments, one assumes that photos are always a bit deceptive and the reality is not nearly as nice.Here it was the opposite: the apartment was incredibly beautiful, the furniture was very high quality and fit in harmoniously. Very modern, first-class sanitary facilities and meticulous cleanliness that is second to none.In addition, the host family was very friendly and left no wish unfulfilled. Thank you very much for this fantastic accommodation, it topped off the holiday!
