Youth hostels are always a thing from to to. You just have to like it. In Eisenach it is a listed building. Nevertheless, the rooms are completely fine and clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The food also left nothing to be desired. I will definitely come back here again.

The staff is very friendly. The house is clean and the rooms are in good condition. Unfortunately, not a single door in the entire house could be opened or closed quietly. They're all spoiled. This makes living with lots of people in a small space really tiring. The light in our bathroom was virtually non-existent. You couldn't even call it nightlight. The emergency lighting in the hallway was 3x brighter. The food, especially dinner, was extremely poor. No choice. If you don't like it or don't like it, bad luck! No cold cuts, no bread, no raw vegetables. I've never experienced anything like this before. Breakfast wasn't much choice but OK.

A special house with history but modern rooms. The hostel manager is a very friendly person who cares deeply about his guests, you can tell!The rooms are clean, the breakfast is of a good DJH standard (very dear kitchen fairy!) and is completely sufficient to start the day.All sights are easily accessible. A great hostel!

Where should I start, so when I visited this youth hostel I noticed right in my room that there was no bathroom or toilet - it was in a public bathroom which wasn't exactly the cleanest. When it came to eating, only breakfast was okay, the rest was edible but I wouldn't eat it again. The bed covers were dirty and the staff were often unfriendly. The location was okay, pretty close to Eisenach just a walk away. I know that this is a youth hostel and not a hotel, but I still had certain expectations that were not met, as was the WiFi, which was also a problem. The only place where the WiFi really worked was downstairs in the common room where it didn't even reach the dining room has. I do NOT recommend this youth hostel because it's not worth it.

Very small and bad rooms. Mattresses at concrete level. Except for one young woman, the staff was very unfriendly. Things that we didn't break were charged to us. Food seemed like leftovers from the day before. Never again!!!!

Unfriendly staff. We had to pay for things we didn't destroy. The showers smell like sewage and the food failed to meet my expectations except for one self-organized day. The free WiFi doesn't even reach into the next room and there's almost no reception. I can't recommend it.

A beautifully renovated youth hostel where you immediately feel at home if you like youth hostels. The room and the sanitary rooms were very clean.As a family we shared a room. The kids missed the WiFi, I didn't.The breakfast is simple but good and the location - within walking distance of the Drachenschlucht and the Wartburg - is great.

Was very satisfied. Above all, the location is great, as you can walk directly to the Wartburg and the Drachenschlucht. Tip: don't choose the paid parking lot directly below, but rather the free hiking parking lot 100 meters further. The little bit of path is very nice to walk…

The youth hostel is an old city villa. - totally great! You can walk to the city center in 26 minutes. So everything is ok and the Wartburg can be reached from the youth hostel in about 45 minutes.Our absolute highlight was the caretaker. We are motorcycle riders and the caretaker offered us a garage space for our motorcycles. Super sweet. He also gave us an absolutely great insider tip about eating out in Eisenach and where you can get an almost perfect "Alpine view".All in all a great youth hostel (also for motorcyclists :)! )

The location of the youth hostel is great, if you don't want to hike, the bus stop is right in front of the house. The staff are very nice, patient and helpful. As a single traveler, I had a 4-bed room alone and the sanitary facilities were about 4m away in the hallway, so no problem Of course there are also rooms with shower and toilet, which were occupied.

Rooms are well, modernly furnished and clean, unfortunately there is no toilet or shower in the room. Eating is okay. There is table tennis, basketball with a basket and lots of Bret games

This was by far the most expensive youth hostel I have ever been to. Surcharge if you only stay 1 night 10€ and the Jugi is on the outskirts of the city. There is a bus stop below the Jugi with a bus that also goes directly to the Wartburg. The breakfast buffet is varied and has everything you need.

We visited the Eisenach youth hostel for a weekend in June as part of a group event. All in all, we were very happy with our stay at the youth hostel. We were warmly welcomed by the staff and were able to spend lovely days in rooms with old charm. Individual wishes were taken into account, which made us feel very comfortable. The youth hostel is located a little outside the center, but can be easily reached by bus from the train station in just a few minutes. Due to its location, the youth hostel is a good starting point for hikes, for example to the Drachenschlucht, and if the weather is too bad, there are also enough comfortable lounges in the youth hostel to sit together in a friendly atmosphere. Vegetarians are also taken into account when eating, but you have to be prepared for typical youth hostel food and don't expect a star menu. We'd love to come back.

The youth hostel is centrally located in Eisenach and is a good starting point for excursions. The staff is super nice and attentive, the rooms are super clean. There are a few rooms with a toilet and bathroom, but also rooms without (shared shower and external toilets on the floor). The breakfast buffet is very extensive and good.
