Camping Am Sultmer Berg

I was shocked by the animals. So also about the dead hedgehog that was rotting away.It's just pitch dark. Difficult if you are camping, have health problems and have to quickly go to the toilet from your tent. In addition, you can't walk there for a long time.I don't know if it was a problem with the light but it was completely dark. The hedgehog was lying up in front of the tent meadow.

The campsite was really well located for us travelers, the reception was super friendly and the sanitary facilities were clean. The restaurant has delicious home-style cooking, friendly staff and breakfast the next morning with a view of the lake was a good start to the day for us. I didn't really want to write a review for just one night, but I find the many, but very high, reviews a bit surprising/irritating.Of course, every review is a subjective judgment, but we have visited so many campsites that also received 4-5 stars and the 'Sultmer Berg' simply cannot compete with them!The complex has a beautiful view if you can stand in the right place, no question. It's also okay if the footprint isn't always flat and a slightly 'wilder' botany is also okay. The employees are also friendly, but people, declaring these sanitary facilities as clean is simply not true.I find it incomprehensible that on both days there was no soap in any of the three dispensers found there - not even in the toilets! The urinals were partly blocked and smelled unpleasant.The floors hadn't been mopped for a long time and the grout lines were more brown than white. If I find cobwebs on the window sills of the toilet that have definitely been there for a long time (dust and dirt in the web), and no one seems to notice the cobwebs on the door frames, then the low price per night doesn't make it any better.It's absolutely not a bad thing if the cabins and the fittings show the charm of the 70s, but please don't skimp on hygiene. The mop standing in the women's wet area was not a sign of cleanliness :-(It should also be pointed out that the approach through the residential area involves overcoming a considerable incline and the narrow access to the area for vehicles over 6m long is difficult for beginners.So this place can't be rated honestly with 4 or 5 stars, but since we can't judge the restaurant (not tested), I would consider 3 stars to be justifiable.And no, I'm not an evil campsite operator from the area, but I want fairness in the reviews.

Great and quiet place with plenty of space. A bit outside the village, but perfectly fine to spend the night. Good food and drink.

Top place, we were passing through and were very positively surprised, the place is clean, the staff (Stefan and co.) were very friendly and accommodating. There is a beer garden right in the campsite, super delicious schnitzel... will definitely come back

Ok as a place to stay overnight. I didn't want to stay here any longer. The place in general is unkempt, the sanitary facilities are clean but very old.

Beautiful view, good food, wonderful for one night on our journey from south to north.

Quiet, very green, basic but functional

We went to the band's open air"Clair-o-plane" included.It was wonderful.The ambience is excellent. The service was good and the prices are okay. The dishes were very tasty. We'd love to come back.
