Sorry, Lady Tabea Janzen, your review is the very last thing. I don't think anyone needs overnight guests like that. We were there twice in 2023. Everything fine. Cleanliness, friendliness, outdoor area. Dinner. It was a pleasure

My husband and I booked a room in the guesthouse for New Year's Eve.When we arrived, the building and the outdoor areas looked very worn out. Of course, it's winter, but more could be done in the outdoor area.We came into the room and we were immediately met with a musty smell, especially since the heating was turned on, which made the whole thing worse. The room wasn't particularly clean, the furniture was very old and that's what it looked like. The lady from the guesthouse went into our room while we were away, closed the window every time, put the night lamps back in the right place and folded our night clothes. That was actually too much for us because our privacy was being invaded too much.In my defense, I am a migraine patient because it was so musty in there, we had to ventilate a lot, which was probably not allowed because the lady kept coming into our room while we were away. For breakfast we were extremely disappointed and shocked by what she served us. There were 1 1/2 rolls for everyone. It's very questionable why not everyone gets 2 rolls and it's good. In our roll bowl there was still a super old slice of bread and toast according to the motto eat or die.For 2 adults there were two slices of cheese, a slice of salami and a little cream cheese and a small piece of butter - the lady of the house eats very little because she saves money. The thermos flask with warm water was completely calcified and outdated. I've never seen anything so disgusting. We then had a nice day in Winterberg and left. I couldn't have lasted another day because I had trouble sleeping the night before and my husband had to go for a walk with me at night because the room was too stuffy for me.There is carpeting in the hallway, which is very unhygienic since animals are also allowed to live in the guesthouse, not to mention mites.Of course, you shouldn't forget that the accommodation doesn't cost too much, but we expect cleanliness and hygiene as well as a fresh breakfast.

Very, very loving and friendly welcome, the breakfast was delicious and varied, especially the homemade jams and breads were great. So you could start the day strengthened. The location was perfect for me as a cyclist, you were quickly on the Lenne route and then on the Sauerland cycle path and then into the Hennesee loop. So it's absolutely worth taking a vacation there.

Very good little guesthouse. Rooms are clean and adequately equipped. Only the bathroom was a bit small. The room was pleasantly cool despite summer temperatures (25-30°C). Ms. Blank is very nice and can give you lots of tips about the area. Oberkirchen is generally a very good starting point for hikes in the area and for exploring the Hochsauerland. It is also ideal to stay overnight here with a dog. What should be highlighted is the good breakfast with a lot of homemade food, there was something different every day. I stayed here for 10 nights in late summer with my dog and really enjoyed my time here.
