The hotel is located on a Bundesstrasse, a main road. It is therefore better to keep the windows closed in the hotel rooms at the front. The hotel is quite dated, some call it rustic or vintage. Some rooms have (new?) firmer mattresses on the beds. The sanitary facilities are neat but very outdated and the (almost antique) thermostatic shower tap works differently in each room.Furthermore, it is tidy up to eye level, the duvet is neatly laid every day and there are new towels as desired. The staff is restrained but friendly, nothing more. The breakfast is neatly sorted and sufficient. The same cannot be said about the hot evening meal with half board. When a chicken is caught, you get chicken soup; the chicken is included in the 'main course': white rice supplemented with a whitish paste with a piece of chicken here and there. At least that's how it seems. The beef dish (or whatever you call it...) ditto. After complaining to the booking site, we received a dry thin schnitzel with a lot of chamfer between the breadcrumbs and the leather as a compromise. With mayo and ketchup, but without starter and dessert. And yet the price for the package was 40% higher than in 2022. And then the situation was really not as we found it now.

Breakfast good but dinner was the same every day. Simple and little.soupy food with a watery soup beforehand. Dessert of whipped fake cream with a different color of syrup on top every day. So unimaginative.Value outings, do something about it! Don't you check?

Very old-fashioned, unfriendly owner. The key broke off in the lock, the owner wanted me to pay 60 euros for a new key 😡 after a lot of fuss we didn't have to pay. We had half board, the food was really bad. Really don't recommend people to go here.

Very friendly and helpful staff. The room was clean, but the furniture didn't quite match the modern wallpaper and the toilet was unfortunately only accessible from the side on the last visit because the bowl was arranged incorrectly. This should be offset by 90°. But otherwise I found it very pleasant.

We were here for dinner. The house is in a new beginning. The Laarmann family sold it a year ago for reasons of age. There is still a lot of renovation to be done. The new rooms are almost always visited by tradesmen during the week. Still available on the weekend. The food was not high quality. But you can work on it. The house is also available on voucher books 4 eat 2 payAfter a year we went back toEat here. Unfortunately there is nothing left of the good name Laarmann. The food was totally overpriced and not worth the price. The rump steak we ordered was well done. An additional salad we ordered tasted like pure vinegar. A beer landed on our coat rack. We wanted to complain to the cook, but he had already finished work and left the house. The new owner will not see us again.

I'm speechless. Apparently it hasn't had anything to do with Hotel Laarman for a long time, the food is outrageous, how can you say it without discriminating, speechless the way I'm served.

We stayed in this hotel at the beginning of July 2024 and paid €100 including breakfast for a room with single beds for two people. The first impression of the room was bright and clean, the beds were okay. Unfortunately, some unpleasant points gradually came to light: there were tissues, peanuts and rubbish from the previous person under the bed, the bathroom smelled extremely of cigarette smoke (possibly coming through the ventilation shaft), only one of the 3 sockets was usable, the WiFi It was unusable and the TV picture was very bad, the light above the bed only partially worked, the shower gel in the dispenser was all gone. If we had stayed longer than one night, we would have asked for another room. The reception was friendly and the breakfast was very good. Conclusion: a very outdated country hotel with many deficits and an unjustified price-performance ratio.

Old-fashioned rooms urgently need to be renovated. The rest of the hotel is in a state that is no longer in keeping with the times.
