Friendly and warm manner of the boss, who also serves. Great ambience. Magnificent cooking skills with a taste experience for the mouth and nose. Definitely coming back on your next vacation 👌

Because of the many good reviews, we also visited the Alte Filmkiste. Unfortunately it was disappointing. Roast veal and beef brisket came as goulash and had the same side dishes, a shame. Even if the boss cooks alone, we found the waiting time of more than 1 hour too long. It wasn't a highlight in terms of taste either. We ate much better in Zingst.

Great food, a bit hidden, but parking nearby is not possible for the severely disabled. Very attentive service, everything is small and familiar. And worth seeing.

This restaurant is a must / my favorite / a haven of good food / always worth a visit / an integral part of the map of good taste.The service was very attentive, eager, prompt and selfless - you just feel at home and always welcome!The ambience is sensational and unique!A very good price-performance ratio for a wonderful, fresh kitchen…A big compliment to the chef and service.The Alte Filmkiste is a Zingster veteran, a visit is a MUST!👍🤗🥰

The “Zur Alten Filmkiste” restaurant is a must-see! A thousand different small and large memories inside and also in the garden of the old GDR times and the cinema years; a bit cramped, but also comfortable. Very nice operating couple; The guest is taken care of touchingly and lovingly. No long waiting times.There is a 1 point deduction for the food in view of the price-performance ratio. Too expensive for the ambience and the food on offer. The gin and tonic at €9.90 gets an extra €1.00 if you "spice it up" with cucumber slices - well. As a Berliner you are used to almost everything...

I have known the two “operators” for many years. A really nice couple 🙂👍. It was time for me to “settle in” personally again. They both remained “down to earth” 👌. If you don't really need something luxurious, you should take a look. Plus, the food in the “old film box” tastes super delicious 😋!

On August 12th, 2024 we were actually able to reserve a table at short notice. Wow, what great service from the owner Antje Leffler. Personal address of the guests by name, great recommendation for the aperitif and the food. The owner Ralf Leffler stands in the kitchen and conjures up delicacies. The reservations are timed so that the guest can be served optimally and Mr. Leffler can prepare his wonderful dishes without the guest having to wait long. It's great that the granddaughter of trick cameraman Ernst Kunstmann has kept so many of her grandfather's things and that the Restaurant Zur Alten Filmkiste has become a rustic and unusual restaurant. The quality of the food was absolutely excellent. Thank you for the lovely evening with you, we'll be happy to come back!

The restaurant is decorated like a trip back in time and has a particularly beautiful garden. We had a good meal there and the service from the owner was fantastic. It's something different. I only know the rooms from the pictures.

Beautiful rooms, wonderfully decorated. Very friendly hosts. Relatively centrally located and still quiet. It's just a dream here. The rooms are lovingly decorated, which is what's special about it. There are 2 holiday rooms which share the small coffee kitchen which is located in front of the rooms. The rooms are accessible via a narrow staircase on the upper floor. The garden is also lovingly decorated.I can recommend this holiday room for people who love something special.

We reserved a table there thanks to a tip before our vacation. It is a small restaurant with a beer garden. The restaurant is the owner's homage to her grandfather, who was a well-known director in the Babelsberg film studios during the silent film era. Inside it is completely furnished with film props. The owner couple does everything alone.With a lot of dedication, people like to talk about the history of the restaurant and mainly regional food. The menu is small and selected, but very tasty.It makes sense to reserve a table and a visit is definitely recommended.

Price performance was OKUnfortunately the Cammonbert was not through (cold inside).But it was fixed immediately after it was noticed and the waiter took care of it immediately.Service great.
