Good afternoon dear people,We recently stayed at Haus Erika (according to the website there are 26 people) with a larger group (not as many as stated on the website). The location of the house is great, no question, see pictures of the area surrounding the house. But that is really the only positive aspect about this house. As soon as you enter the house you can smell a very unpleasant smell. As soon as you look at the rooms, you notice that some of the beds are completely worn out. We prefer to leave out the blankets and pillows entirely, the cheapest of the cheapest and the main thing is that it even exists. The party cellar is an absolute disaster, it smells of mold and mildew. There are some threats on the note that have no substance, as no contract has been concluded with the owner about his conditions, which are grossly exaggerated. You should also think about hygiene in the bathroom. In some showers in the house you can no longer tell whether there is mold or just dirt. The wonderful garden where children should (can) play has not seen a lawn mower for a long time. The fire pit also leaves a lot to be desired - it's absolutely overflowing with leftover coals, etc., and the great swing is full of rust, so I'm happy to let my child sit on it ;).The cultivation is in a catastrophic condition. Some of the thinking comes down and the modern smell can hardly be avoided there. UNINHABITABLE!According to the owner, the internet only works to a limited extent (when it came up it took 3-4 hours unless there were more than 4 people). The great washing machine only works when the light is on.I think that's enough of an opinion and recommendation from me for now.INFORMATION FOR THE LANDLORDFreedom of expression protects the right to freely express and disseminate one's opinion in speech, writing and images (Art. 5 Para. 1 Sentence 1 HS 1 GG).Criminal Code (StGB)§ 186 DefamationAnyone who claims or spreads a fact in relation to another which is likely to make that person contemptuous or to denigrate them in public opinion will, unless this fact is proven to be true, be punished with a prison sentence of up to one year or with a fine and, if the act committed publicly, in a meeting or by disseminating content (§ 11 paragraph 3), is punishable by imprisonment for up to two years or a fine. Before they portray me as a liar too ;)

We traveled as a large group of around 18 people.Something good first. The house is fully equipped, you basically have everything you need. There is space, although the dining room becomes very tight when the house is full.We had trouble getting started with the WiFi, but we were helped with a phone call. However, this wasn't really a success as the Wi-Fi reception was only good in the stairwell. Now unfortunately the negative aspects. What can I say, the first breath of air when I entered the house was musty damp. The house is getting old, without question, but even an old house shouldn't have moisture in the walls. The basement with the party games room is absolutely not usable. Mold suspected in the wall. It smells worse in the cultivation area than in the basement. In the upper room of the extension, the ceiling panels are almost falling down. The garden is large, but not really well maintained. The swing or climbing ladder is heavily clogged with rust. Which doesn't inspire confidence. Conclusion: We had a weekend in beautiful surroundings and great company. But the house urgently needs to be renovated in some important areas. We wouldn't come back for now.

The house is beautifully decorated from the outside.Unfortunately, the play cellar is not usable (musty smell of mold) and the play equipment can also be used in miniature format for children. There was enough of an interior thrown together. The WiFi is a disaster, it only extends 2 meters in the hallway. The only oven in the house dates from the 70s and is basically unusable for normal dishes (no temperature display, just a knob, uneven baking, very worn/dirty).I didn't expect any luxury equipment for this price, but at least everything so that self-catering people can be self-sufficient, which for me includes a modern oven. The bathrooms were almost all in need of renovation, the toilet seats were not particularly valuable and were wobbly. It was dirty in every corner of the entire house (it's also difficult to keep such a big house clean, but as an example the cobwebs in the toilet next to the kitchen didn't come from 1 or 2 weeks of not being cleaned). The double beds are fine, but the single beds are hardly usable. Individual feathers that flick around wildly with every movement + very uncomfortable.I give it a 2 because the room had a nice balcony and the lounges were fine. There is little to no outside lighting outside, which is a shame and unusual, especially in a barbecue area. The surroundings are beautiful and there is a lot to do.The money isn't that much but it's not very little either. I would have even preferred to pay 15 euros more per person and at least it would have been thoroughly cleaned. The extension is in a miserable condition, parts of the ceiling are coming off, wallpaper is peeling off and a musty/mouldy smell (of moisture)Maybe limit the offer to ground floor + 1st floor and start bringing the house into 2024 little by little (no one demands luxury for a property like this, but reasonable furnishings, clean rooms, working WiFi, etc.)

Group house Erika, where do we start? From the pictures before booking it was very appealing and that's why I booked it. We spent a weekend there with the family, also with the premise of having a great play area for the children, but when we arrived there was pure disappointment about the condition of the house. As soon as we opened the front door, we were greeted by a pungent, stagnant smell, which gave us an uneasy feeling right from the start. After exploring the entire house, we discovered that the playroom was in the basement and that it was completely unusable because the entire basement smelled musty. The house itself is really getting old. There is a backlog of investment everywhere, whether it's the old windows, the old bathrooms or the worn-out furniture. The heaters only worked in some rooms; many rooms were simply far too cold to stay in. The pictures online do not match the actual condition. The garden also made an unkempt impression. All in all, you can't recommend this house for this exorbitant price. In addition, there are completely excessive rules that you have to follow in the house and completely inflexible handling when checking out. If you don't leave on time, you will be charged 20 euros for each additional hour. I've never experienced anything like that. One could definitely have reacted more flexibly knowing what condition the house was in.Answer to the answer. The great art is to deal with criticism and perhaps get an idea on site.Everything I have described is true. It's sad that with every answer you either refer to Corona or any investments that don't improve the big picture.Have fun continuing to milk the property 😌

Great accommodation in a beautiful, quiet location in nature, an ideal starting point for hikes and excursions in the Harz. We were there with dogs and thought it was great that there was a fenced off area where the campfire was and the dogs could run free. The rooms were well equipped with everything you need for a holiday in nature, even if the weather is bad you can pass your time in the house. There was one small drawback, however, and that was the outside lighting, which didn't work as it should or in some places it would have been nice if there had been outside lighting at all, but that's really not that dramatic since almost everyone has a cell phone with a flashlight these days .We were completely satisfied and are considering going on holiday here again as the time was actually far too short to explore the Harz in its full splendor, next time maybe a few more days.

The accommodation itself was spacious, clean and well-equipped, which made our stay very pleasant. The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful and made sure we didn't lack for anything. We really enjoyed our time here and would highly recommend Holiday Home Erika to anyone looking for a relaxing break in nature.
