The boss is an unfriendly person. Maybe was very stressed whatever. I actually wanted to buy something. But with the look on my face I didn't want to buy anything anymore.

We were there for coffee ☕️ and cake 🍰. The cake was very good 👍, the coffee was a bit “thin”. It was served in pretty pottery cups, each individual. One star deducted because it was a bit dingy, cobwebs and dead flies everywhere.Update: this time I'm giving all the stars! The coffee was good 👍 and we had a very interesting tour of the farm!

Great atmosphere, super nice hosts, absolutely delicious food, cakes enjoyed in the most beautiful weather. The beautiful animals in the background to pet are a highlight for all children who are still familiar with nature experiences. Hiking trails and cycle paths are all well signposted and well maintained.

After years we took another trip to the Harz Mountains. And visited the Ziegenalm for the second time. A very idyllic piece of earth. Friendly service, delicious food and drinks. Nice rustic atmosphere. We can't judge the rooms because we only visited the restaurant as a day tripper. We hope that we can still find this wonderful place to stop for refreshments on our next spontaneous trip. The organic store right next door is also worth a visit.

The Sophienhof is simply worth a trip. Not only to get the HWN stamp 97 but also to try, among other things, delicious goat ice cream. The cheese and sausage specialties are a culinary delight and we like to stop here because even the children like them. (But everyone has to decide for themselves) Playground and restaurants are also available and are really impressive. Since the parking lot is almost on the doorstep, you can easily reach your destination even with physical disabilities 😉Unfortunately I can't rate the room as we are always just passing through. But therefore no deduction. 👌

After the “hunt” for stamps from the Harz hiking pin, it was good to have booked a place at the Sophienhof. The food was very tasty and the hospitality was very empathetic and it was great all around.
