Hotel Royal Santana

We have been here with our 3 children. Rooms are clean, food is good for what you pay. Breakfast and evening meals are good, again price-quality ratio. The owner (with beard) is very friendly. The other man is far from friendly. All in all highly recommended. It's not Hilton, but you don't pay for that either.

Location, rooms for the price was o.k. The food was sometimes shameful, and far too little. One evening we each roasted 1 small shell, with unflavored rice, the remainder of which we found in the soup the next day. The buffet was also very slowly replenished. Not friendly staff, sometimes they looked at you outside if you sat too long. Totally not worth repeating.

We, 2 couples, were moved to the Hotel Royal Santana due to overbooking at the Black Cross Hotel.We rebooked and stayed at the Hotel Royal Santana for 3 days. The staff was very friendly, the food was plentiful, varied and tasty. THERE were even breakfast bags to take food with you. We would be happy to go back there again.

100% worth the money. When I read the sour reviews I wonder out loud what these people expected for that money. Rooms are clean, every day. Food is simple, 1 type of meal per day, but more than enough. If the food was cold as stated in some reviews, I wonder what time they started eating. Burnt my mouth on the soup and just saved the table with my bid full of vegetables and meat because it was very hot. Of course tastes differ, there is a list of what is eaten throughout the week, don't you like that? There are several wonderful restaurants in the area where you can enjoy a delicious meal for little money. Breakfast was really good, fresh rolls, slices of rye, brown and white bread. Three types of meats and cheese, honey, chock paste, jam and three types of butter, freshly boiled eggs one day and scrambled eggs with bacon the next. Delicious coffee that was really hot (burning hot :-)). Staff reflects your attitude and behavior, I was very respectful and I got that back. Whenever I asked something I was helped with a big smile. Large mugs of beer and vodka could not be supplied until 9 p.m. This is almost impossible for this amount of money. Soda may or may not be to your taste but it is there. But who drinks that when there is beer, wine and vodka. People should stop whining and start looking for a 4* hotel where you will be served for the same money per night where you will be here for four days. And the beer tastes even better if you travel from place to place every day, for example by train. €24 for a 5-man day ticket to Koblenz and €27 return to Bönn with of course the stopover in Weiternaar (markt stop). Beautiful.

Eating in a canteen. The food is what it is, very simple but tasty. Hotel room small and the bathroom even smaller. The bed is nothing special. Location, very noisy if you have a room at the front.
