Beautiful, rustic guesthouse with attention to detail.We spent one night in the “Weidemühle” guesthouse in Kelbra (Saxony-Anhalt) in September 2024.We booked a double room, which we also received with two single beds.Equipment:Television and hairdryer are available, as well as sufficient sockets and storage space. The beds are comfortable, the furnishings are a bit old. The room is a reasonable size and, like the bathroom, is very clean. However, only 4 out of 5 stars because neither the shower nor the guesthouse are barrier-free.The breakfast room is quaint, there is something to discover everywhere, every niche is used - but it doesn't seem exaggerated in any way. The furniture is classic, country house style and fits perfectly with the guesthouse.Breakfast:The buffet is balanced. There are rolls, bread and crispbread. Plus cheese variations, sausage specialties, jams, honey, yoghurt, fruit and boiled eggs.Outdoor area:There is definitely something to see here. In addition to the beer garden, part of the garden can also be visited. Llamas and budgies live there, and a pond invites you to linger. Herb beds and subtle decoration ensure the feel-good factor.Prices and parking:There are sufficient parking spaces in front of the guesthouse and are free of charge. For one night (two people in a double room) including breakfast, 80 euros were paid (as of September 2024). This is a very good price-performance ratio, especially given the current price trend.Overall, a guesthouse that I can warmly recommend.

We had made a reservation through the hotel where we were staying (this hotel is closed on Sundays from 4 p.m.). Table for 2 at 7pm.Unfortunately, our work on Sunday had run late, so we arrived at the guesthouse at 7:19 PM (just checked the GPS...).We were not able to visit the terrace: the lady in question made it very clear to us that we were no longer welcome. After all, she had waited half an hour and the kitchen was closing.She had also passed this on (we think to the hotel), but we were not aware of this.We understand the closing time of a kitchen, but to show guests the door on a full terrace is, in our opinion, nothing less than downright antisocial.We are all human, coincidentally we also worked that day. For example, a stiffer max could have been achieved at 40 minutes.The terrace was still full of people who were still busy eating and drinking, but they didn't all leave at 8 p.m.Location is very neat, the lady in question (11-8-24) is not.If anyone is looking for a restaurant in Kelbra on Sunday, it closes at 8 p.m. The rest of the village is not open, except for a Turkish restaurant.

We liked it very much. Stay was simply great. Centrally located, rooms great, breakfast plentiful and physical well-being was taken care of.Beautiful property, beautiful beer garden.Even the motorcycles were well stored.Thanks. Gladly again. 👋

We were here for Mother's Day dinner. Reservation was important as everything was full.Very nice service, makes everything possible.I can only recommend the ambience, food and service.Good home cooking. Trout, steak, schnitzel. All side dishes are homemade.

I spent a weekend there with my wife.The room was large and clean, but the view of the courtyard was a bit disappointing.The selection at the breakfast buffet is good and the lady at the buffet is nice and attentive.All in all, a solid place to stay!

Very nice and courteous operator. Inn managed with attention to detail at the foot of the Kyffhäuser Mountains with a view towards the Harz Mountains. Also interesting for anglers, as the river Helme carries its water there. Pike, carp and tench are at home here. Very nice property also for cyclists who want to take a break or stay overnight here. A rich breakfast forms the basis for a new start to explore the area on new cycle paths around the Kyffhäuser in the footsteps of Emperor Barbarossa and his seven ravens. The Barbarossa Cave is 9 km away and can be found in Rotleben. So conclusion: hospitable coupled with a very beautiful area for everyone.☝️ Oh, we also have a television tower on the Kyffhäuser! Difference to the Berlin one: This one sees nature on the Kyffhäuser - without city noise!

Were there for Christmas dinner. The food could have been better, my onion sauce was a ready-made product, the vegetables were from the freezer. I don't have to have it again and if you have some left over you can't have it packed up. The answer from the waitress was that they had a tin with them, sorry I've never heard of that before, not very professional. I don't have to have it again. Tip is working on it.
