The room is a little old. But it was very clean and the staff was very friendly. We had dinner at the hotel in the evening. The food was simply great in terms of price/performance ratio. The reason for our visit was the Eifelsteig long-distance hiking trail. In any case, we as hikers felt very comfortable and can only recommend the hotel.

Really great hosts. The hotel is a bit old, but the rooms are sufficient, clean and the perfect accommodation for us hikers on the Eifelsteig. The menu is small, but our dishes were delicious and freshly prepared. The host family is super warm. We'd love to come back.

I can't recommend this hotel more.I was there to ride my motorcycle. My room hadn't been renovated in an estimated 40 years. The missing walls in the shower cubicle were replaced with a makeshift curtain.Dinner was okay, although as a vegetarian I only ate a large salad plate.I didn't like the breakfast buffet at all. All very loveless. Only one type of cheese, baked rolls and dried slices of bread.I didn't feel comfortable and will not stay there again.

We had a nice stay. The rooms are small but cozy. The hotel had seen better days. The food was great. The boss takes some getting used to, but the employed waitress gets it out of the way.

Positive: Very good cuisine and reasonable prices. Negative: Cleanliness in the room, large cobwebs on the window. Leg of toilet seat very badly damaged. At 11 p.m. (Saturday) at the latest you will be sent to your room quite abruptly because it will be locked. It was the first and last booking there

I had an overnight stay so that I could hike the 7th stage of the Eifelsteig from there. The hotel is in a very nice and quiet location and can be reached on foot from the center in max. 10 minutes. There is a large parking lot in front of the house.Overall, the house, restaurant and rooms are getting quite old.My room was furnished with solid pine furniture. The bed was made with friendly linens that smelled of airy fabric softener. Apparently people still do their own laundry here and don't send their laundry to the laundry. The towels also smelled fresh. The bed was more of a disaster. It creaked with every movement and the mattress was too soft for my needs! But you can bear it for one night. But I wouldn't want to stay there longer because the quality of sleep suffers from the poor bed/mattress.The room, bathroom and restaurant are sparkling clean 😃The operators are very friendly and give helpful tips, for example about the hiking bus 770, which currently does not go to the Rathaus stop. (There is no information about this at the stop itself or in the public transport APP).I can't say much about the food. The onion soup that I had upon arrival was delicious. The breakfast was varied and sufficient and very good!In principle, apart from the bad bed, definitely recommended if you don't expect luxury!
