We have been going here once a year with the club for many years. Of course it's not a hotel, but it's okay for a youth hostel. Otherwise we wouldn't have been doing it for years. :-)

Overall, the location is a nice and well-equipped place. There is a lot of nature in the area, especially the source of the Ahr. There are also many other sports and leisure options: campfires, volleyball field, gymnasium (e.g. for playing basketball) and a well-maintained soccer field. The interior (hallways etc.) was also clean and tidy, top notch.Conferences and meetings can also be held, there is a large conference hall.The rooms were spacious, but there were only shelves and no real closets that could be closed. If you don't stay long, I don't recommend taking a shower, as the risk of water flooding half the bathroom is quite high (there are only curtains...)The service was okay, but not outstanding. Unfortunately, e.g. The kitchen staff yelled at us in an unfriendly way and told us (as a group) to behave, which unfortunately spoiled the good impression a bit. However, there were also very nice staff.Actually worth 3.5 stars, but since you can't give half stars, I give it 4. Overall, an incredibly pleasant and cozy place for leisure, relaxation and conference events.WiFi wasn't particularly fast, but you could live with it.

I think both the surroundings and the building are very beautiful. It is made for everyone both large and small. Everything was beautifully decorated and the service was also very helpful

Beds were disgusting without linens. You had very little time to get bed covers and had to get them yourself. Without a duvet cover you get 100 per aids in the beds. WiFi is also overrated for them.

Went there as a hiker, very nice people and nice, typical youth hostel room! Dinner and breakfast was good. Gladly again.

Actually it's pretty nice, but unfortunately some of the rooms are completely dirty, our shower was moldy and in general the bathroom was very dirty, dirty toilet, broken shower and some of the walls were very smeared

After 30 years, I'm back where I spent a lot of exclusively positive time in my childhood. It's amazing how the human brain pops the old smell from 30 years ago into your head within milliseconds! Incredible, because a completely different basic calm immediately sets in.

My son (32) was in this youth hostel.The food was great, you can't say anything against it. There was a great pizza with CHEESE,Personally, I expected my child to have a rump steak for dinner, but then only the cheap food.

No good food, you can't sleep, I gave 0 stars but unfortunately it doesn't work. The archery teacher is super strict. On the first day there was a shock, the lights went on and off, my girlfriend is crying , eat bread with meat for lunch you have to make it yourself

Nice quiet atmosphere in a wooded area. You can take beautiful hikes there and at night you can hear the owls, tawny owls and various birds that I have never heard before.

Nice campsite, the heated bathrooms are a great idea. The breakfast from the hut village the next morning had everything I wanted and being able to take part unannounced and at short notice, plus a packed lunch, was a great start to the hiking day.
