The campsite is ideal for an overnight stop. Likewise for an overnight stay around Hann. Münden (by the way: surprisingly beautiful. Anyone who thought Celle or Rothenburg were THE half-timbered house places will be just as happy here).Back to the place: the sanitary facilities are quite old but clean. The building is not heated - but the showers are hot, with plenty of water and no extra charge. The parking spaces are located directly on the Werra, around 6 km from the A7.During the day you can notice the main road on the other side of the Werra, but at night it is quiet.Idyllically located and within cycling distance of the aforementioned Hann. Münden. The inn offers a beer garden, which we no longer wanted to use at the end of October. The restaurant was nice. We were served by Mrs. van der Kroft - the family runs the campsite and restaurant. Great and very friendly service. A relatively small selection of dishes, but really tasty - at realistic prices. The Dutch specialties of the menu are particularly recommended. All in all a nice stay. We would be happy to visit Hann again. Münden or just as a stopover.

Very nice little campsite. Beautifully located and close to nature. Very nice operator. The washhouse is a little older, but clean. Unfortunately, due to the proximity to the motorway and a railway line, it is not that quiet. But a good base for excursions and hikes. And conveniently located if you are passing through.

A campsite for overnight stays. The location directly on the Werra is beautiful. However, the train line is clearly audible. The place is on a street that doesn't see much traffic. The sanitary facilities are getting old, but are kept clean. You just have to cross the street to find the facilities, unfortunate. We didn't visit the attached inn.

If you are looking for a campsite where hospitality and tranquility are paramount, I would like to warn you about an experience you will probably want to avoid. The owner showed me unexpectedly quickly how hospitable she really is.It all started on a quiet evening, just before I wanted to drive to the supermarket. But before I could leave the owner appeared on the scene. In the dark I heard someone knocking on my camper. I carefully opened a window and in the dim light I saw her: the campsite owner, without any introduction or politeness.I'll call her "Karen". Now, I don't know if her real name is Karen – she didn't even introduce herself – but her behavior? You recognize the type immediately. It was exactly what you would expect from a Karen. With a look as stern as her attitude, she started at once.“I've been seeing your camper all afternoon,” she began in a tone normally reserved for a small child doing something wrong. "You have to leave. You are not allowed to use the campsite facilities."Now that would make some sense if I were at the campsite itself. But I was just standing in the public parking lot in front of the Glasebachweg, which had no connection with the campsite. I went mountain biking that day. The Glasebachweg and Grundbachpad are great for this.Besides, why would I want to use those facilities? My integrated camper was clearly the type that was fully equipped. Shower? Check. Toilet? Check. Kitchen? Check. I had no need to use shared facilities at all.I tried to de-escalate this bizarre situation by drawing attention to these facts, by also explicitly explaining why I was in the public parking lot and by sharing my further travel plan for the evening. But that didn't matter to her. She stood there, staring, eager to shoo me away as if I had done something terrible.Karen, with her exaggerated sense of ownership over everything she saw, apparently felt it necessary to tell me to leave in a falsely authoritarian manner. But let's talk about those "facilities" that Karen was so protective of. These are not even on the campsite itself. No, to reach the showers or toilets you have to cross a busy public road. Not something to walk to safely in the dark in your nightgown, especially not for children.Apparently Karen firmly believes that her aggressive approach is the only way to keep unwanted people away from those showers. Perhaps a lock on the door or a camera system would be a better solution, but instead Karen seems to have set herself up as a human surveillance camera. I hope Karen also does night security. So if you want to know how the owner looks at people deep down: It was very clear that the owner cannot show hospitality as soon as she thinks she cannot make money from you.I am now completely satisfied with my camper on the large lawn of the free camper place Am Hochbad. No busy roads nearby, no unwanted interference. And above all: no Karen.

Stayed at the campsite for three weeks. Very nice location on the Werra. Very friendly staff. You can eat in the restaurant, although the choice is limited. The food is good/tasty and enough! There are plenty of excursions and sights in the region!Highly recommended! This campsite is also a so-called transit campsite, the campsite fills up in the afternoon and is largely empty in the morning.

The campsite is very loud, the train runs every 15 minutes and when it's not running you can hear the street noise day and night. The sanitary facilities are outside the square and you have to walk across a street to reach them. You can't pay for the place, which is too expensive in my opinion (mobile home for 2 people including electricity €27.20, no WiFi) with a credit card. I wouldn't visit this place a second time.
