Das Ferienhaus Oberstdorf

We stayed in the holiday home for a week in January 2020. At this point, Ms. Reiser was already the new landlady. First of all, it can be said that Ms. Reiser is very nice and courteous and was always available to answer questions.We were a group of 10 adults (between 25 and 35 years old). We got there and the key was in an agreed location, so we could get into the house straight away without any complications.The house has a total of 4 floors (basement, ground floor, 1st floor and 2nd floor), 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms as well as a separate toilet.On the ground floor there is a small guest toilet, as well as the kitchen, the living room, the winter garden and access to the terrace and the sauna (you can enter the sauna through the garden).There is also a shower in the sauna, which unfortunately didn't work for us (no water), but we didn't ask any further questions. Maybe the water should have just been turned on somewhere.In the basement there is the laundry room with washing machine and dryer, as well as one of the double rooms with a double bed. Unfortunately, this double room has neither heating nor natural light. (The windows face the winter garden. The winter garden also had to be open for fresh air.) The next toilet is the mini guest toilet on the ground floor. However, there is a sink in the room.On the 1st floor there is a double room with two single beds and a sink, as well as a room with a double bed and a loft bed.Unfortunately, the loft bed is very wobbly, which is why we could only use the lower floor. Unfortunately, on the lower floor the mattress lies directly on the floor without a slatted frame.There is also a bathroom with shower on the 1st floor.The 2nd floor or attic only consists of a huge double room with a double bed and a sofa bed, as well as an adjoining bathroom with shower. To use the bathroom you always had to go through the room.Overall we found the stay good. However, we still paid less than 200 euros per person when we rented it from Mr. Bauer. If we wanted to rent the house again next year, we would have to pay twice as much, which would definitely be too expensive for the room layout for 10 adults.Personally, I wouldn't count the bedroom in the basement as a full-fledged room because, as I said, it has neither heating nor daylight. An electric, mobile heater would definitely be appropriate here, as it was always very cold in the basement.Since the shower in the sauna didn't work either and it doesn't have a privacy screen and the neighbors could watch you shower, we shared 2 showers with 10 people. The bathroom in the attic could only be used when the two people weren't sleeping there.Overall, the stay was reasonable for the price of under 2000 euros and the proximity to the center. However, we wouldn't come back here again with 10 people and twice the price.
