Despite the requirement to have a smoke detector, there was no smoke detector in the room. The bathroom had mold in the silicone joints. I cannot recommend staying overnight here.

Price for the rooms and region quite high. Bathroom and shower very small, no shampoo, no hairdryer and the breakfast was quite cheap.

Clean rooms, nice service

The best because it is probably the only hotel in the city of Egeln. Family run. A stopover for one night on our pilgrimage. Nice reception from the boss.Room:This time we probably lost at room bingo, our double room is probably the mechanic's room in the hotel. The minimal equipment is very outdated. Stains on the walls. This has nothing to do with the glossy photos on the website. BUT, everything is spotlessly clean, there's nothing to complain about. Perfect for us for one night. But you don't want to stay there longer...Dinner:The restaurant is open exactly 3 hours, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.As a starter there was a kind of oven bread, with asparagus (the green one, not the good white one ;)) and hollandaise sauce. The main course was pork cordon bleu with fries, the meat was a bit dry, but still good. There was also fresh asparagus and schnitzel. Unfortunately, unfortunately and what was a shame, the hollandaise came from the large 1l tetra pack, which is how it tasted. This was also done to us when we asked. Why on earth wouldn't you serve such great fresh asparagus with homemade sauce? For 26 euros for a plate that wasn't particularly large, that was almost an impertinence...Breakfast:Speaking of cheek... the cherry on top is breakfast, aka. Breakfast made by Metro;).Everything was packaged in plastic in portions, except for the sausage and cheese, which were taken out of the package;). Then no one needs to come to me with sustainability anymore.An egg for everyone, orange juice, coffee, rolls, Metro's own brand yoghurt, that's it.Our request for some vegetables was unfortunately rejected with the sentence (essentially): "everything that is on the table is included, everything else is subject to an additional charge"...The bitter coffee almost fell out of my face... I was just able to resist answering how much a cocktail tomato would cost...Let's be honest, we've been to a lot of hotels and guesthouses, but we've never had a breakfast like this. What do they actually do when there is a child who wants to eat cereal with fruit? Does this have to be paid additionally?...Conclusion:We're definitely not being petty, but the overall impression was a bit poor. 120eur overnight stay + 70eur in the restaurant. Then you expect a little more. Positive: everyone was really friendly and tried hard.There is no risk of recurrence ;)

I had dinner there with my mother today (May 21, 24), it was simply a taste explosion 😎🥰 the only restaurant you should visit in Egeln if you want to go out for a fancy meal ✨❤️❤️❤️
