Super nice reception on Friday evening, also very accommodating and looked after on Saturday morning. Perfect. This is our first time here because we have to go to the race track, 15 minutes away, very good. Breakfast was great, everything was there. In bed there could be an extra pillow, the pillow is a bit soft, but otherwise everything is great. We'll be back when we have to go to the racetrack, thank you

Rating for the Burghotel Wanzleben:The Burghotel Wanzleben was ideal for our team stay. We were impressed by the spacious, clean rooms with a medieval flair and the excellent breakfast. The friendly receptionist, who fulfilled all wishes, deserves special mention. The historic atmosphere and excellent value for money definitely make the Burghotel a place we would like to visit again next year

Unfortunately the rooms were cold. Unfortunately, the room description does not indicate that the rooms at the “Schoßplatz” are a good 0.5 km away from the castle.The booked extra bed was only brought after repeated requests.The kitchen was overwhelmed by a larger group of guests and you could only order a buffet without having any influence on the food. With two main courses in the buffet, there was nothing suitable, especially for the children. For this, 12 year olds were charged at the adult price.You are only allowed to bring dogs into the restaurant if you book an “event”. But it's not enough if you come with a group of around 30 people. You'll be shouted at loudly throughout the restaurant about what you're doing here with dogs.

Cold food, not much choice, potatoes were soggy.Food seems to have been sitting around for a long time.Outrageous price.Dogs from “family celebrations” are allowed into the restaurant, others are not.Went to McDonald’s out of disappointment. By the way, it was better.

Super nice hotel with a small but nice location. At times we felt like we were in Italy. Nice outdoor lighting with a nice view of the castle. Highly recommended for celebrations or if you are in transit. Unfortunately there is little in the area for tourists. Great prices, delicious food.

We stayed at the hotel. Our room was simply furnished, but OK. Unfortunately, we couldn't use the shower because the water was cold. When I asked at the reception, I was told that no one had informed me, but you can only let me know when We found out, that's what we did. Unfortunately, when I asked whether we would get a refund for breakfast, they didn't respond and we were only given a waiver for parking (4.50 euros per room). I find that very unfortunate for three people and two room bookings , that wasn't really an accomodation.

Great hotel, it feels like you're in the south of France. Very friendly service and really relaxed. My room needs a bit of modernization, but still ok. Environment very well maintained and friendly people. For me an absolute insider tip for a relaxing weekend. Great atmosphere.

I drove a wedding party to the wedding ceremony at Wanzleben Castle at the weekend.The wedding took place outdoors, on a meadow, directly in front of the large castle tower.The gate to the entrance to the castle courtyard was kept closed during the wedding ceremony so that no vehicles could enter and there were no disruptions to this festive occasion☝️.The castle has many rooms, e.g. B. for conferences or other events.The medieval ambience, combined with today's modernity, is perfectly arranged.I can recommend a hiking visit, a meal, or a trip there.Attached are pictures of the wedding party hall 👍👍👍👍,and the interior area.Overall, I give this ambience a ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐.A note☝️:If you want to drive into the castle courtyard with a large camper or vehicle, please note the entrance height of 2.50 meters☝️.

Unfortunately not recommended. We were given a room in which the air conditioning didn't work. With a toddler in an overheated room. Unfortunately, the rooms are not well shaded during the day. There are only curtains on the windows, which means the room can heat up almost unhindered. For the second night we were provided with a fan (upon request!). You couldn't offer us a replacement room.The interior looks nice but is partly showing its age (tipsy chair, stained walls). In the bathroom there is no door as a shower partition but a shower curtain - it takes some getting used to when it comes to hygiene.It's a shame because the surroundings/castle complex/restaurant are very nice.

Very beautiful, restored castle. The hotel is beautifully integrated and technically up to date. Air conditioning worked perfectly. Very good WiFi. The room was spacious and very nicely decorated, especially quiet.The beds were comfortable and 90x200 cm 👍. The rooms were cleaned daily. Everything was very clean.The service at reception and at breakfast was extremely friendly and accommodating. The breakfast buffet was extensive and had something for everyone.There are sufficient parking spaces on site and at €4.50 per day, it is cheap compared to other hotels.The price-performance ratio is right.The hotel can be recommended with a clear conscience 👍

We were guests at a wedding party on July 20, 2024 and felt very comfortable from the start.The rooms cost according to the category and furnishings, and the parking fee of 4.50 euros is also appropriate. It is actually common practice that breakfast is not included in the price, which is why one criticism cannot be understood.Our stay was made very pleasant by the high level of professionalism and friendliness of the entire team, from housekeeping to the service staff. With her committed, courteous and friendly nature, Ms. Sperling was an example for all her colleagues.If we're in the area again, we'll definitely stop by, even if it's just for the phenomenal breakfast buffet.Kind regards from Dresden.

Disproportionately expensive, an extra bed cost extra, and as a guest you even have to pay for the parking space! An impudence! Breakfast is not included in the room price, you have to pay extra per person.

We were there in April for a big birthday. Great grounds, beautiful rooms, super attentive service and great food. What we were missing was just some toys or some play equipment for the kids. Even if it's just 2 boxes full of random toys for boys and girls. This doesn't cost any money and is no effort. Or a small sandpit somewhere at the edge of the garden. Keeping the children busy painting from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. just doesn't work. I'm surprised that we were apparently the first to experience this. Children are always partying there?!

We celebrated our wedding there with almost 60 people and what can I say it was our dream wedding. Given that the weather initially looked like it would rain, there was the option of getting married in the red hall and everything was already prepared for that. What surprised us positively was the bright sunshine and the fact that everything was set up outside without any further challenges. Thumbs up for that. As always, the service staff were very friendly and no glass remained empty for long, which was well received by the guests. The arrangements in advance were also not a big challenge; every wish was taken into account, even when we had what felt like thousands of questions and we always remained friendly and helpful. And the food was amazing, we also went to the rehearsal dinner beforehand. And we weren't disappointed there either. Our bridal suite was particularly beautiful, lovingly decorated and inviting you to get married. Many thanks to the team at Wanzleben Castle
