I find the ski pass far too expensive for 4.2 km of slopes. Then it's better to go a little further to Keilberg.

EVERYTHING here is far too expensive and not even remotely appropriate for the slope. We prefer to go skiing to Telnice. Very unfortunate...

A real gem in the Ore Mountains, a small and fine family ski area, away from the hustle and bustle. Unfortunately closed since Corona. Apparently unresolved problem between the municipality and the tenant/operator. Unfortunately, this dispute is being fought at the expense of those who would like to visit this ski area. Inquiries to the responsible municipality about this remain unanswered.

Very relaxed stay in a family environment. My two boys (9 and 10) have never been on skis before. We rented all the equipment and booked a basic course, as well as a few individual lessons on the following days. And the two ski instructors had great access to show the boys how much fun skiing was. I don't ski myself, but I also had fun and noticed that everyone here was doing their best to give us a nice day on the slopes. Thanks for that :-)

The Holzhau ski area is ok for a short skiing trip in the region. We had our two children at ski school at the weekend, which was unfortunately very disappointing. The price of €40 for two hours per child would be acceptable if the service and organization were appropriate. The course was held by 1 ski instructor with 11 children, where the children were mostly left to their own devices. Personally, I absolutely cannot recommend a ski course in Holzhau because neither the price nor the care for the children is right.

Slope not prepared! On Saturday morning, when the sun was shining, the piste was icy and still skied from the evening before. Tickets cost €25 for 4 hours. We expected more for this price. 👎

We have been night skiing in Holzhau several times. There are usually enough parking spaces available in the evenings. There is a ski rental station and a small restaurant + snack bar outside. A well-dosed double anchor lift takes you safely up the mountain. The waiting times are good (a maximum of a few minutes) The departure (only one at night) is quite OK for the Erzgebirge. In the Alpine region it would probably be between blue (light) and red (medium). The piste is often skied in the evenings and is therefore a bit bumpy (especially at the top). The lower, flat part is easy to carve. The prices have risen quite a bit in 2022. 2 hours cost €20, the whole evening costs €30. That's pretty intense for a single drag lift. A bratwurst at the snack bar costs €5. All in all, a good way to get the knots out of your legs before heading to the Alps - and it's only a little over an hour from Dresden. If you're looking for more challenging slopes, you have to go to the Czech Republic in my opinion. But it is usually much more crowded there.

A really nice ski area, also very beginner-friendly as there is a very wide slope with lots of opportunities to let off steamBeginners' or children's hill is great, with a magic carpet and drag lift at the same time -> great to start withLarge, long queues at the large drag lift due to the relatively large rush on Sunday, waiting times of up to 20 minutes are possible2 stars because of the food! 5€ for a bratwurst that you can get 2 of at the Christmas market is really too much. Sales and survival of the operator back and forth but that doesn't work at all and prevents me from coming back!

Except for the nice older gentleman in the ski rental, the staff was very unfriendly. Paid by 11 p.m., but the big lift closed at 10 p.m. and the beginners lift closed at 8:15 p.m. Too bad.

Today we had the impression that it was all about making quick money here (1 bratwurst 5€, cola from a plastic cup 0.5l 5€, Fl.Hefeweizen 5€, children's punch 0.2l 3€, mulled wine 0.2l 4€ everything made of thin plastic cups)...not to mention the ski day ticket prices for a drag lift, there isn't even a supervisor here. In general, the entire area is not very inviting, the service is zero...It's a shame, we loved coming here and were willing to spend money to support local tourism, especially in these difficult times... but not at all.

I can only agree with the last criticism. The bratwursts also cost €5 each. I understand that the operators have to make their sales, but like that? Unfortunately, the toboggan lift is also not in operation and there is no information about it online. So came for free with the little one.

We used to love coming here to ski. But today I was very speechless because a lady came and charged €5 for parking (no matter how long you stayed). We haven't had to do this for all these years. In retrospect, I'm more annoyed that we didn't continue. A receipt was also not created, which will not please the tax office.
