Until 2023, the hut was always worth a visit, especially because of the top cheese spaetzle and Kaiserschmarren. Unfortunately, neither survived the change of ownership... What a shame!

A great mountain hut, easy to reach via the Hörnlebahn. We had Kaiserschmarrn and cake. Both were absolutely recommended.

The Hörnle Hut impresses with a fantastic all-round panorama and a cozy terrace from which you can enjoy the view of the mountains and the foothills of the Alps. The food is great and the drink selection is varied. An ideal place for a break after the hike - we'll definitely come back!

Ascent 1:15 hour from Bad Kohlgrub. Nice hut with very good food, drinks and friendly staff. The terrace offers a very nice view of the Zugspitze, see pictures. It is a self-service sun terrace with some loungers. You can also take the “nostalgic” Hörnlebahn (chair lift) up and down in 18 minutes.

Some of the food was very good, only the pasta was not good, totally overcooked and the tomato sauce for the children was more like a soup and tasted terrible...

Hörnlehütte is a must when you're up there, the view and the terrace are simply beautiful...We were excited to see what the new tenants were like and what the food tasted like 😋 the counter staff was very friendly👍 but I think the staff got in their own way🤔When the food is picked up, it would be nice if the cutlery were on the tray straight away, because there is someone there and the cutlery baskets are difficult for little people to see😓,The fact that the used dishes have to be returned in the entrance area and sorted there doesn't make this any better... especially since the guests are supposed to carry their food outside, the other guests come in and in between the staff puts the dishes inside 😔 as It's not the waiter's job here to get your tray outside safely.......So there's nothing wrong with clearing your dishes, I just think they're poorly placed!Of course, the card payment also delays the process.About the food: the next table had Kässpatzen, which probably didn't go down well.At our table we had Kaiserschmarrn, which looked very good and probably tasted very tasty 😋 The portion size was smaller than the previous one, which isn't necessarily a negative thing, but it's unusual for those who know it before.Potato soup with sausage was tasty, very good and plentiful, but the Debreziner is unusual here, as not everyone likes and can tolerate spicy, this should perhaps be mentioned on the menu.The sour cheese is very tasty, the fresh bread is perfect and the price/performance is more than okay.All the best to you, come back next year... a herbal schnapps on the menu might not be an idea😁

Beautifully located hut 😀... was disappointed with the menu because the roast pork is only on the online menu 👎 potato soup was delicious, but it wasn't described that the sausage was served with a debreziner (the taste was great but too spicy for me personally) the price was right👍 ...Self-service in a hut is not a problem for me, but the beeping when the food is ready is really annoying ... friendly staff 👍 at the bar/ordering/payment, it's very chaotic/clumsy. But I think in a year you'll be more experienced 🙃Have a good time until next yearGreetings Tina
