If you want to experience a traditional holiday in a holiday apartment or room on an active farm, the Kohlerhof is the right place for you.The Onnich family is a great host. The farm doesn't just have the certified goat for farm holidays. Horses are still bred today and at the moment there were just 4 foals on the pastures with the mares. The turning out and return of the 22 cows for milking every day is always interesting, especially for children who are also allowed to helpBad Kohlgrub is a good starting point for many attractions in the Ammergau Alps. The place has a great bathing past and still offers mud treatments today.Here you can slow down and relax. We have been there twice now and would love to come back.

Beautiful, cozy farm with simple but absolutely sufficient rooms. Some directly in the house or in a separate guest house 30m away. Enough parking spaces and it's just nice to have the animals right there. The breakfast is simple but okay, in my opinion you could easily swap the jam or honey for local products and not the small prepackaged ones.But the family was more than nice in terms of service and was absolutely great for exploring the lakes and Alps in the area!

Small but nice. It was our first time here on the farm and we were satisfied. The owners are very friendly and always look after every guest. The rooms offer enough space and are simply furnished. Here I would like a secured WLAN (only open). The wardrobe offers enough space. The bathroom is a bit old, but completely sufficient. There is a large refrigerator in the hallway (outside the room) where you can safely store your food (fruit, drinks...). Regional products (fruit, rolls, cold cuts) are offered for breakfast. There is also a small playground for the children (swing, slide, trampoline and two gymnastics bars). And of course there are the animals (cows, horses, chickens and goats). Here the children can help with feeding. Overall, a successful short vacation. Top price performance level

Simply brilliant! We felt at home, in the morning there was a delicious breakfast with regional products and our own milk 🐄 (super delicious!) Great location and beautiful view 🤩 there were so many attractions within 30-40km that a week was too short for us 😅 we're coming definitely again 🤩 Greetings from lowland 👋😅

The perfect place for a romantic break ♥️ Room with balcony and bathroom, overlooking the pastures with the cattle/horses and the mountains. Price-performance ratio is top. Breakfast also very rich and varied from day to day. The hostess is happy to give you tips on things to do in the area and you can tell how much heart she puts into it.Super friendly, I can only heartily recommend the Kohlerhof!

Very quiet location, great farm, with lots of space and a wide view. Very nice and friendly family, we felt very comfortable. We were able to store our bikes safely. Ms. Onnich always suggested the best goals of the day for breakfast, which we were happy to incorporate into our daily planning. If we vacation in this region again, we will definitely inquire again!

Very quiet location. Ideal for relaxing and enjoying the peace and quiet in the middle of the country. Many attractions within a radius of 20-30km. There are also beautiful hiking trails in Bad Kohlgrub itself, whether on the mountain or in the valley.

Our first holiday on a farm around March this year was super relaxing! The host family is wonderfully relaxed and natural with a loving Bavarian manner. They were always there to help us with tips about the region, gastronomy and sights. We were able to easily get to know and observe the many different animals that live on the farm. We also had a great insight into the everyday work with the animals. This was particularly exciting for our six-year-old son.About the rooms: If you want a cozy traditional Bavarian room with a view of the beautiful mountains, this is the right place for you. Our rooms were clean and without any defects. The fact that you can hear a cow or the wind whistling every now and then at night is also part of it and shouldn't be missed on a holiday on the farm. The breakfast offered was varied and sufficient.There are great hiking trails in the region. Other activities are of course also possible. The place itself also offers some activities.We will have very good memories of the Kohlerhof. Host families are rarely so natural and pleasant.
