The best vineyard tour we have been so far! The guide, Andy, is extremely knowledgeable, friendly and most importantly passionate about wine and the vineyards. I thought that the little hike around the vines finished with drinking Sekt at the top in a great company was a highlight, but then it got even better! Food was delicious and wine pairing exceptional!Thank you Andy again for the tour and answering all our questions! It was really inspiring to meet a person that can so greatly pass the passion to the wine!Of course we have left with some bottles of wine from the winery and we are looking forward to enjoy it at our home with friends :)

Pension Basten is in a great location above Mosela river between Koblenz and Luxembourg. Owners are very supportive and producing excellent wine. We stayed as group of 10 people, all of us very satisfied. This pension we can highly recommend

Cozy room with a small balcony and a view of the Moselle. Very nice hosts and a great wine tasting. Good breakfast in a somewhat outdated breakfast room.Dinner could be a bit difficult as the restaurants in town are very sparse. But there are other places.

Nice and clean room and bathroom. Wonderful German hospitality! Excellent breakfast. Participate in the wine tasting and explanation Weingut is highly recommended (free!). The location of the guesthouse in relation to the area (such as Cochem) is ideal, especially given the good bus connection and the ferry to lovely Beilstein. Don't forget to leave room in the car to take some of this winery's fine wines with you!

Arrived at the winery and were warmly welcomed by Melanie. The room was large and the bathroom was wonderful, cleanliness is very important here. The breakfast left nothing to be desired, absolutely delicious and varied. The wine tasting was very interesting and we learned a lot. The wines are wonderful, from the taste to the fair price. We took a few boxes with us. We had lovely days and we will definitely be back.

We booked the guided vineyard tour with wine tasting through GetYourGuide. Conclusion: It was awesome. Andreas explained the history of wine, how it is made, the varieties and how it is enjoyed. I can 100% recommend this excursion. Not only did we have a lot of fun, we also learned a lot of new things about wines. It is worth it!Thank you so much for this great day trip!Best regardsJacky

This was our second time at Bastens and all we can say is, as always, absolutely great. Super nice and clean rooms, quiet location, very tasty and rich breakfast, nice lounge and well-stocked wine fridge. The Basten family and all the staff are super nice and friendly, plus the very interesting wine tasting/cellar tour with Andreas, everything just fell into place. Arrived and felt at home. A great guesthouse that leaves nothing to be desired, Melanie takes care of you in a very warm way. The wine tasting was also perfect. You are immediately in the vineyards and can try a bottle of the Bastens' delicious wines in the evening. The breakfast leaves nothing to be desired. Thank you for the nice days. We stayed at Pension Basten for 5 days and felt very comfortable there: the room was well equipped and very nice and clean, the bathroom was large and functional. On the beautiful balcony you could enjoy the view of the Moselle and drink a glass of wine from our own production. The breakfast was very good and our needs were always met in a friendly manner. We mostly traveled by bike, so the spacious bike room was ideal for us. We received very good support in the event of minor or major breakdowns with the bike.Access is generally barrier-free; the elevator takes you to every floor with rooms. Of course you can also rent bikes on site. We were very enthusiastic about the wine tasting: the speaker was very knowledgeable and made the tasting exciting and very informative with a lot of fun. We received friendly and competent help in all questions! We will definitely come back and explore this beautiful area by bike and on foot at another time of year and come back to this great accommodation. Many thanks to the entire team!!!! If you just want to buy wine and are constantly told HOW the wine purchase has to be made, namely with an evening wine tasting and we are very clearly shown that you have come at an inappropriate time, it would have been better not to open the door. It's a shame, it said open on the website. Not here again. There is enough competition!
