Our family (father, mother, 2 girls aged 11 and 7) spent a week in this park. We had a beautiful accommodation, well cared for, relatively clean, spacious and fully equipped.A beautiful setting in the middle of the mountains. In the morning the park is shrouded in mist, which gives the park a beautiful and fairytale atmosphere. The houses have sufficient privacy, and the terrace was more than sufficient for our family. Parking at the accommodation is also a big plus, because you see this differently at various other parks.Upon arrival we had problems with our key cards. We were not the only ones, because there was a major malfunction in the system. Fortunately, this was resolved well, and we received a physical key to our accommodation. After our first day, we discovered that our shower was clogged. Fortunately, this was resolved in no time. There was also a lot of mold in the shower cabin. Fortunately, we had a large bottle of bleach with us, so we solved this ourselves. The extractor hood smelled terribly of used grease, so we cleaned the filters ourselves. This kind of stuff is sloppy, and you should expect more for a brand like Roompot, and what you ultimately pay for it.We had dinner once in the restaurant in the park. Our experience in the catering industry was somewhat less. Due to the understaffing in the service, quite a few things went wrong. Apparently delivering a basket of bread takes half an hour. Order was not delivered in full, which meant that 1 of our children still had to wait for her food, while the rest already had food. Given the circumstances in which people had to do their work, we understand this, but this did have a negative impact on the overall experience. In addition, we wanted to order a dessert (after sitting at the table for a long time due to the crowds and waiting times). This was no longer possible, because the kitchen was already closed. In other words: because we had to wait a long time (more than 2 hours from the moment we arrived until the moment the main course was served), we can no longer order dessert. Fortunately, the girls (after we had some idea that their problem was being made into our problem) got an ice cream. Too bad it had to be this way.On Sunday we wanted to have lunch at the restaurant, after a nice walk in the area. We sat down and ordered some drinks. It was not very busy in the restaurant at that time. What we immediately noticed was that there was only 1 person serving. She had to operate the entire restaurant single-handedly, running the bar, cleaning tables, and washing glasses. After an hour and a half we were unable to order food or anything to drink, because the lady in question was simply too busy. So we paid for our drink and left. The lady in question walked her legs out from under her body and told me that she would be on her own until 2:00 PM. During a Sunday lunch rush hour.A missed opportunity for this park, because the restaurant was quite full, but we noticed from all guests that they found it annoying that the waiting times were extremely long. This also applies to us. This was not due to the lady serving, but to the fact that either poor planning is done or Roompot is unable to attract or retain sufficient staff.
