Here we would like to rate the wein automat on the premises of Weingut Amlinger & Sons. The idea is great, a chance to further promote and sell wine after hours while providing the opportunity for guests to sit and enjoy a drink in a lovely garden overlooking the Mosel. Unfortunately, the wein automat did not function for everyone who tried to use it. We were fortunate that another patron was able to successfully use the machine and help us out after we had been trying without luck for several minutes. We observed this happen to several others as well. Finally, the machine broke down altogether. Alongside this, the machine was only half stocked directly after the weingut closed and, therefore, had limited options available. In our opinion, the unreliability of the automat and the lack of stock is a missed opportunity for this business to make money and maintain a satisfied customer base.

We did the Amlinger&Sohn wine hike. Despite the rain, it was a very nice hike with good wines!With the fully packed backpack, which was packed by Amlinger with 7 small wine bottles and additionally booked food, we hiked about 7.5 km and looked at the wine fields and drank the corresponding wine at the points marked on the map. Simply a great concept! We will definitely go on another hike.The service on site is super nice! We took a few boxes straight away to take home.

A shop on the main road, unexpectedly with a lovely garden where you can enjoy the wines from this winery.The lady who helped us was very friendly and helpful, but above all knew what she was talking about.When she went to collect our order, we enjoyed our first glass of wine. Recommended!!

The positive thing about my stay was the wine tasting, which was organized lovingly and knowledgeably.The room was a disaster - completely worn out mattress, poor soundproofing, no toiletries in the bathroom.

We actually “just” wanted to buy wine, but we still had the opportunity to try 3 or 4 wines (without a prior appointment). The lady at the reception who looked after us was extremely friendly. Finally, we went home with 6 boxes of wine :-) I also think the 24/7 wine machine is great. The wines are absolutely top.

The family-run winery directly on the Moselle is a really great place for relaxation and enjoyment. There are holiday apartments and rooms in the winery itself. The latter are cozy and well-kept; We grew fond of the creaky stairs upstairs. ;) Room service and towel changes take place purely on request; We find this sustainable and completely sensible. Especially if the stay only lasts a few days. The wine tasting is a must, and not just because of the beautiful, often award-winning Amlinger wines that are tasted. The knowledge imparted in three and a half hours (!) also has an impact. Also great: the beautiful garden that invites you to drink wine, the 24/7 wine vending machine on site and the perfect starting point for hikes. Thank you for the lovely four days!

We're talking about a small family business with all its advantages and limitations! This means that things are very personal, as well as some small organizational deficits.All in all we felt very comfortable. It is a beautiful, older house, decorated in the style of the 70s or 80s. Our rooms were nice. Of course, making beds etc. is only available upon express request (see above). And escape route markings are probably also seen as unnecessary. The staircase is only made of wood.Breakfast consisted of fresh rolls from the bakery, eggs, ham, cold cuts and cheese, honey, jam, muesli, yoghurt and fruit.Next to and behind the house there is a spacious garden area with seating where you can taste the house products, which is nice.

In the Amlinger family business you immediately feel at home in the best sense of the word: excellent support from the Amlinger family and really good advice, a wide range of top wines, there is something for every taste, as well as pretty rooms and apartments, so that a wine weekend is always a complete success in Neef. A restaurant and bike rental in town round off the weekend perfectly.
