Very nice hosts in well-kept accommodation. Quiet location and the center can be reached quickly on foot. There was enough everything at the breakfast buffet. We felt very comfortable and would love to come back.

A beautiful and well-kept guesthouse with a very friendly hostess. The breakfast is varied and sure to have something for everyone. Our room and bathroom were spacious and had comfortable mattresses.

If you want to know how to effectively scare away long-standing, happy regular customers, it's best to ask the new owner: Throwing the terms and conditions around your ears when you exceptionally cancel your reservation for serious health reasons is anything but accommodating. 5 star hotels in Munich or Vienna would not allow this. But they also know how things work and how customer relationships work.

We had booked two rooms for the festival and had to cancel three weeks before the event due to my father's sudden serious illness. Ms. Richter charged us 80% of the costs (room including breakfast). That was legally ok according to the terms and conditions, but if you cancel a full three weeks in advance, then I expect not only compassion but also accommodation and goodwill. She also showed herself to be unyielding and tough in personal conversations. It's a shame and absolutely incomprehensible to my entire family.

Inconspicuous house. But wow. Wheelchair users and other people with walking disabilities can stay in a stylish holiday apartment here. I was thrilled. A nice apartment has half the recreational value. The lady of the house is very personable and friendly. Even if it's not directly on site, it's always accessible. Bookable all year round. Price is adapted to the apartment. There is even an elevator. Everything barrier-free. I will definitely vacation there again.M. Mayer

Positives: hostess is friendly and nice. Breakfast is ok (candlelight is a nice touch). Location is good - near bus and train station (it’s Oberammergau so nothing is too far!). Mostly quiet. Clean.Negatives: Old floor boards so the place is loud and creaks. Whenever anyone walks, comes or leaves you hear it regardless of the time. The walls are thin so you can hear the conversations in the nearby rooms very clearly.to include tv, coughing, throat clearing….and whatever other sounds they make! Last but not least, I specifically asked the hostess not to come into my room but she continued to do so. As a paying guest, it is my choice to have my room serviced especially if it’s only a week stay. To say ok but blatantly disregard my request or privacy is not appreciated. If you want to save on gas or energy, then put a note for the guests. Anyone can understand that but once you accept.them then respect their privacy. My request was not unreasonable. Do not come in for some things and leave as though I wouldn’t notice. For that reason it’s a 2 star review! Lots of other places around here that are equally charming and pleasant to try!!

Very cozy rooms, warm and friendly welcome, delicious breakfast (freshly boiled eggs upon request!!!!). Not to forget the central but very quiet location, close to the train station and the “center” or festival hall.

We stayed here in connection with a visit to the Passion Play. We got a small but very cozy room with Mrs. Richter almost last minute. She was accommodating and very friendly. We felt very comfortable there and would love to come back for a break in Oberammergau.

We were there for the passion play. Very warm and friendly hostess. The room was clean and bright, the breakfast was rich and there was something for everyone. The guesthouse is in a quiet yet central location. We would be happy to come back and would be happy to recommend this guesthouse.
